Hi,
My name's Jacinta Kasou(33) currently recovering (3 days) from a ruptured ovarian-cyst surgery(28/01/11). Unlike the
experiences of discharges, all was normal in terms of a woman's body works. It wasn't till 7 days back when I experienced
abdorminal/bowel pains during digestion. This continued for 3 more days which became intolerable when lying sideways.
This forced me to visit the nearest Medical center(Ela Medical).
The Sr on-call did physical checks and asked questions which my responses relating to Pelvic Inflamatory Disease(PID). It
was also fortunate that the Dr on-call was a gyno(Dr Maima) who immediately prescribed antibacterial medication through
the drip. The Sr on-call did a great job in administering the anti-bacterials. The specialist arrived on site and did an
ultrasound to discover the cyst followed by a syringe extraction from the tubes, revealing dark
cloths, which confirmed the existence of the cyst.
Due to a low blood pressure and high heart rate, surgery was the urgent option at the time.
In less than 24 hours, I was in the theatre and underwent a 2 hour procedure.
I am now into my third day of recovery and still a bit sore but glad that the bowel/abdominal pains have all
disappeared. I noticed abit of brownish mucus today but that's only normal after the surgery.
I'm due to go home today(31/01/11) for further rest so I'm waiting on Doc's official orders.
