I had a miscarrage over a year ago, i was somewhere around 4-5 weeks along. when i took the urine test the line was so faint that i had to take it out in the bright sunlight to check. I went to the doctors and after they took blood, they told me my HCG was only at 15 (5 and less is negative on a urine test and 25 and above is a positive) so they told me to go back in three days to make sure. ANY line on a urine test, or even if you think its a line, is cause to get a blood test done by a doctor.

i would just like to point out that while the instructions do say that they can cause misleading results, it does NOT specify which kind of misleading results (i.e neg when pos, or pos when neg) so im guessing it could go either way. my sister in law has two kids, 13 and 11 and with both of them she had neg results on 2 home tests and later found she was 3 and then 5 months along with her kids. and then today a friend of mine and i were talking, she is 7 months along, and very small naturally, so her 20lbs of weight gain is strictly baby weight. well anyways while we were tlaking about how accurate these home test really are, she grab one from the box of two that i had and used it....yeah, according to them, shes not pregnant.... from now on im just going to go to the doc....

I to took an ept and had some dots forming a line. According to the ept hotline these have been confirmed to be positive results. I am planning on taking another test just to find some certain confirmation but like I said according to the 2 phone calls I made to ept the dots are indeed positive. Infact according to them anything showin in the vertical line in a positive.

i too took a family dollar one step pregnany test today...my period is about a week late. i've been having mix feelings, one minute i feel like i'm about to come on my cycle and the next minute i feel like i'm about to vomit. but my test results came out negative. but on the stick, where the circle part is the line is really faint, and it has 3 dark streaks. maybe my eyes are playing tricks. i took 4 pregnancy tests the other day all came back positive. was talking to boss today she said ovarian cysts can cause a missleading result. i have a 4cm cyst on my right ovary. am hoping that i am pregnant as mi boyfriend jumped the gun and told everyone. i took a clear blue and 3 first response tests. are they reliable????

So Ok I took 2 tests and I had 4 small dots on the first one. Took the second on the next day in the morning and got 5 small dots. My husband and I have been trying for about 6 months now so I just really want to know if its positive or not. So if anyone knows what they mean please help!
