Hi there,

I need some support on this one.

About mid of last year I started to get very irregular periods alternating between 14 to 10 days before my period started.
Since November of last year things have got slowly worse and my period is now every 6 to 8 days with dark brown spotting in between. I feel bloated all the time and I get a real niggling pain in my right side.
About 14 years ago my periods stopped and I was rushed into hospital to have an ovarian cyst removed. I didnt have pain at that time so it took a while for my doctor to get me into hospital.
Last month I had a really bad time and three days before my period was due to start (going off the 6 day occurance) I got some really bad pains on my right side. I was doubled over and it felt like a deep pulsating pain. It stopped after about an hour.
Then 3 days later I got the worst symptoms ever.. I was sweating, severe shivering and felt like I was going to die, the symptoms persisted all night and I had to have a bath every few hours to keep warm. The period started within an hour of this stopping and I got really bad cramps.
I rang NHS direct an they said if the period was really heavy then to ring them back but they didnt see a problem at all.

I have had my periods come on every six days with niggling pains on the right, back pain (which I can put down to my job as I work outdoors) and the blood alternates between deep red and heavy to tacky black and light.
Last night the pain on the right came on again and it felt like someone was stabbing me, I didnt know where I was and felt really sweaty. The sharp pains have stopped this morning but I can still feel a dull ache and it is tender to touch down there on my right side.

I have had tests in the past since my last ovarian cyst and my consultant said I was wasting their valuable time. This is why I am trying to ignore this as I am hoping it will just pass and its normal for most women.

I dont know what this is to be honest. I am 32 years old btw.
