For about a week or maybe longer I've been getting this awkward pain around my lower left hip. I'm not sure what it could be or if there are any important organs in that region. I'm 15 and a female. Please help.

Hello cmask,

Having pain around the lower left hip is not uncommon.  This often occurs when you don't sit properly or have an awkward position when you are sleeping.  Do you cross your legs when you sit in a chair?  Depending on which leg you cross, the pain will be on the opposite side.  I have a real bad habit of crossing my legs and my right lower hip hurts a good deal of the time.  If I sleep on my side, my hip on the opposite side hurts because it is somewhat twisted in that position.  I suggest that you don't cross your legs and try sleeping on your back and see if that helps.  It should take a couple of days before the pain goes completely away.
