Hi,
First of all I would like to apologize for the language and content in this post - I'm not trying to be immature but I don't know how to say it any other way.
On wednesday night I noticed some pain near my anus towards the top of the buttox when I sat down. (up towards my back, almost right where the "crack" starts). At first it just felt like there was a pimple so I figured the pain would go away fairly soon. The pain started to get worse, so when I was showering I noticed that the area was very firm and when I looked at my hands I noticed they were covered in blood! The pain is getting worse and there is always some sort of clear liquid present in the area of the pain and if pressure is applied it will bleed - but the blood is very light in color as if it is dilluted with something else. Sorry to use this language again, but I'll try to describe where it is. It's probably about 1 to 1.5 inches below where the "crack" starts so it's not really near the anus but it's I guess in the same general location.
I thank you in advance for everyone's help.
Simon

I would say it is a pilondial cyst, but I am not sure that they bleed, they usually drain pus. These cysts usually form just above the so called “crack” and are very annoying.
The area around the cyst may get tender and swollen, it is very painful, you may have pus draining from it and you may even develop fever. When some of these symptoms are present, you need medical help. These cysts need to be drained in order to go away, and no antibiotics will help.
A doctor can diagnose it just by having a look and hearing your symptoms, they may even order a blood test but not necessarily. You may try sitting in the warm tub for some time to try to relieve the problem, but it may not be helpful if it progressed to the size where it needs to be drained.
It is quite possible that there’s an ingrown hair inside of it that needs to be taken out.
You may decide to see a GP or go straight to a dermatologist.

Hey,
What you have is 99% a pilonidal cyst. Take this condition serious and you need to get surgery, as it is the only way out.
Hope this help.

my boyfriend had that exact same thing you are talking about and he had to get it cut open and the doctors said it was a sac full of ingrown hair. I know kinda groose but yeah. When they let him out they told him he had 2 options that they could leave it open and heal from the inside out or close it up and hope for no more infection. Lets just say we made the decision to leave it open and i was taking care of him for about 2 months. Yeah wow it was groose. I hope it works out ok. Sorry,
