I have the same thing. Started around 35 - 40 year old. I am now concerned it may be a abdominal aortic aneurysm? Going to the doctor week from friday to have it checked?
You are not alone. It has been happening to me too lately. Not as severe as your symptoms but very close.
i have these symptoms too,
when playing playerunknown battlegrounds (i know what this sounds like) there are moments when you get extremely startled or extremely angry and adrenalin starts pumping, heart thumping, white knuckles and teeth grinding sessions give me a throbbing pain in the kidneas that are in sync with the heartbeat. i believe the flight or fight response sends blood from the extremities towards the lugns, brain and core muscles. this might suddenly increase blood pressure to the kidneys and we might be feeling the hypertension ... kind of like blue balls :D genital hypertension, which i also get very easily...

So, today me and my significant other got into a heated argument about something pretty small but irritating to say the least. i was extremely upset and on a rampage that i really didn't have to be on had i just taken a minute to control my thoughts. Anyways, i rushed out to a slammed door .. ran down the stairs and into our car parked in garage. As i drove out of the garage, a Horrible, throbbing, stabbing pain to every beat my heart made, in my mid back shot up and down, crippling me.. feeling as intense as a sickle cell attack in my spine. I had to pull over and make a decision as to whether i needed to call my partner to take me to the hospital but 30 seconds later it calmed down, although i currently still feel the after shock in my arms and shoulders. Sidenote: Those of you who have experienced this, you have now felt the cruel sensation of a sickle cell attack/crisis..now imagine that pain for anywhere between 4hrs to 1 week :( - I digress. I know this particular back pain episode is due to adrenaline because of the scenario and this has happened to me one time before. It's really nice to know others have been through the same! But what is this? Is there a limit to how the body reacts? Is there a name for this? We have to figure this out because it's pretty scary.
Wow I had no idea I wasn’t alone.
For the most part here it looks like most people have it during vehicle related instances, like myself.
It has gotten increasingly worse over the past few years though.
I’ve have been an adrenaline junky of sorts my entire life especially when it comes to the law.
But being pulled over the other day by the police for a minor tragic violation in witch I only received a warning, as soon as the red & blues came on it hit! Luckily the officer sat back there running my plates & name (that tool a few lol) but it gave me time to have whatever the heck this is so subside a little because I was in no shape to reply at the drivers window.
Not a good start when replying to the popo. I’ve noticed it happens when I get heated behind the wheel as well,
Or if I drag race now lol
Yes it has slowed me down in a good way but wow it feels like I’m Going to spontaneously combust or something. Has there been an answer here yet because I haven’t seen one.

And the doctor says
I get the exact same pain.. Did you ever learn more about it.
I mentioned this to my GP and her reply was "that's perfectly normal" so I stared blankly at her and she tried reassuring me again. Even though this has only started happening the last couple of years she thinks it's normal, I just think she didn't have a f*****g clue what I was going on about tbh.
This only happens to me when seated and when caught by surprise (I have had my fair share of street fights and haven't ever noticed this happening then) although I've had a lot of adrenaline rushes in the past bit only the last couple of years the pain seems to accompany them.

I am also in milatary. Had lower back pain yesterday during road rage incident. My 39 birthday incedently. I take bus par for anxiety and have been pumped full of vacation thanks to dod including anthrax. My concern is I haven't felt normal mentally since adrenaline rush. Driving incidents seem to be comon theme with many posts
This happens to me too, but only during a person to person confrontation, and only one that I am not ready for. If I initiate the confrontation, it usually doesn't happen. It is crippling and it doesn't last long.
This may be due to muscle spasms in the walls of large arteries, especially the renal arteries, abdominal aorta and other arteries of the abdominal cavity. Epinepherine/norepinepherine (adrenaline) causes these smooth muscles to contract. For all of you who suffer with this, maybe the sensation of the muscles contracting is amplified in you, giving the sensation of a wave of pain. You should ask your doctor to inject you with epinepherine to see if you can simulate the sensation in a controlled environment. At least this would let you know if adrenaline is the cause.
I also have this pain during stressful situations! the pain shoots up to the back of my neck and down to my lower back...it hurts so bad it takes your breath away. for me , I am diabetic and have hyperthyroid.
I have the same problems with pain during adrenaline release. I also have similar pains in my jaw whenever I eat something unexpected, extremely painful for the first few minutes in my jaw and other salivary glands. I've been diagnosed as diabetic, claiming there were problems releasing insulin from my pancreas, as well as having to have a hysterectomy at 35 due to problems releasing hormones from my ovaries. I also have GERD. For me, I'm thinking glandular. For everyone else, I'm not sure, but trying to gather statistics on it is a good idea!
I also suffer horrendous pain in my kidneys after i am involved in a confrontation. it's so bad it can bring me to my knees. i am 49 and have been T1 diabetic most of my life. i also have an underactive thyroid. My doctor has no clue what causes this and my endocrinologist just shrugged their shoulders. I would love answers other than "avoid stessful situations" haha, easier said than done!!
I am a 33 year old male and I have the same pain as everyone here but I have several medical conditions. I have ankylosing spondilitis, fibromyalgia and costacondritis which all cause me severe pain on a daily basis but, this pain I get in my back when I'm angry is something that's developed over the last couple of years and my consultant said it could possibly be nerve damage due to my conditions. I would get blood tests done to look for the genetic marker for inflammation which is HLBA 27+ as this could be the cause but don't worry though as you can have the marker without any conditions but it's definitely worth checking out.
