I'm going through almost what you are. I have had a hernia for awhile now,I'm 18 years old.. and I just went in to the doctors to go get it fixed [Still have not heard back from the doctor] & for 3 days now I have had a pain in my lower right back, on the side where the hernia is located. I made another doctors appointment today, which is on Thursday. So I am hoping they will figure out what is wrong with me & when I can have surgery for my other problem.

I am 37 and have had right flank pain, sometimes severe and lower abdominal cramping for approximately 2 month now. I had recently gone through another medical issue that has resulted in me gaining 30lbs in the last 6 monthly. I had assumed that all this had to do with the weight gain, but it turned out not to be. I went to see my GP to get nutritional assistance to correct my weight gain and she sent me for a blood test and urinalysis first as I have family history of diabetes. That's when things seem to go out of control. I have had 3 ultrasounds, 2 CT scans and I am awaiting an IVP x-ray. All this in the last 45days. Turns out that I have fibroids. Most women have fibroids and they cause absolutely no symptoms. Mine however have grown large enough to cause not only symptoms, but serious problems. The fibroids have enlarged my uterus to the point that it is pushing up against my right ureter and causing a partial blockage and enlargement of my right kidney. This is what is causing the right flank pain. The enlarged uterus is also causing menstrual abnormalities and pressure on my bladder. I am scheduled to see a gyn to discuss having either a myomectory or hysterectomy, before there is permanent damage to my kidney. You can not trivialize pain. I had and just out of dumb luck I haven't done any perm harm to myself. I can all be fixed. To all that have any pain in the abdomen or lower flank (back) please push your doctor until they have an answer!!
God bless you all and I pray for your answers.

The words we speak out of our mouths are more powerful than ever. I hear in all of your stories a common thread, "nervousness and negativity". You'll see how important to your situation your words are. So saying "it's killing me" (not to pick on one in particular :-) ) actually registers in your brain that whatever it is that is happening at that current time is "killing you".
Wouldn't you agree it would be a great thing if our thoughts could control our outcomes. Well, it does! So ladies be strong, be courageous, be prayerful because that is what will be the most lucrative gift in your struggle. :-) I pray that all of you will find exactly what you wanted. I'm happy for your futures. :-) God Bless you, forever & always. :-)

Please always get your fibroids checked out! I am not crazy I swear. I am one of the .02% of women who had cancer in one of her fibroids. Yes it is a small number and chance that you could have it but always make sure......I am 32 years old and I was 30 when I was diagnosed leiomyosarcoma and it is a deadly cancer if not caught early....Mine was caught early and I praise God everyday that I am still alive! Never put off anything always go and have checked out!

i was 15 weeks pregnant and woke up one morning i couldn't move at all i had excruciating pains on my right side that radiated through my back, i started sweating really bad and threw up. i immediately called my doctor and he said go to the emergency room it could be kidney stones. When they did the ultrasound they found i had a large cyst on my right ovary and they took me for surgery a couple hours later. They did it laproscopically so the baby is ok (i am now 20 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy) when i woke up they told me the cyst was the size of a soccer ball and they couldn't detach it from my ovary so they had to remove that too. No wonder i was feeling so uncomfortable so early in my pregnancy! Everything is ok now but if your feeling pain get it checked out as soon as possible before it gets as bad as mine did

Hi i was reading this post and some of the problems i am having. I have pain that is nearly doubling me over at times. it is getting worse by the day my OB/gyn can't seem to figure things out so im doing myy homework. along with the pain which is located in the lower belly and sometime across the whole lower stomach i have been on my period now for 48 days and i am on the depo provera shot I started two weeks before my next shot was due and am still on my period! i also when i bleed heavier i get very sick and can't get out of bed, nausea, dizzy, high blood sugar"diabetic",weakness, extreme sleepiness. I have anothe appointmnet on thursday but i can't seem to find anything that he hasn't ruled out that could be causing these problems. I had one docter tell me i have poly cystic ovarian syndrome but he says i don't that he can't see any cysts at all( did a pelvic ultrasound) the other docter did the same though and said there were cysts this was about a year or so ago. Do they jus disappear? im at a loss i have never had normal period so after the loss of my son in 97 i went on the depo provera shot to stop the painful, long, heavy periods. i have been on it almost constant since then. Im not sexually active and i don't want kids i'll be 34 next month. I have tried to talk the docter into doing a hystorecomy but he won't even consider that since i don't have any living children. Im about to go nuts though i cant take this pain for much longer and im sick of bleeding! i just don't know what to look up next! any ideas?

Maybe try acupuncture? There is a great 5 element acupuncture school with clinic in Seattle. I would recommend Dirk Hein, he is the main instructor and with 30 years of experience. I have seen this style of acupuncture help people get off meds for depression as well as for many many health conditions.. it's worth a shot! Wish you the best.

I agree with changing your diet. I've had many of the same symptoms and have eliminated the fullness, bloated ness and most of my fatigue by going gluten free. It's not a fix all but does help separate or narrow down the symptoms. Hopefully for a more accurate diagnosis.

Hi,
Kidney stones usually come from not drinking enough water. Our bodies need 1 gallon of water per day. We need to clean our insides aswell as our outside skin. Please drink lots of water. I hope this helps!

hi' i am 14 years old and have been having a sharp pain on my right lower abdominal area. i went to the doctors last week as the pain was spreading to my left and my back but he said it might be an ectopic pregnancy and told me to go to the hospital and get a blood test done and to go straight to the hospital if it gets any worse. at 2 in the morning today i got the massive pain all across my stomach and back with a burning sensation in the lower ribs. she asked me to do a urine sample to see whether i had a uti but i didn't so she said go home take some more pain killers and see the doctor. but the doctors just said it was down to the combined contraceptive pill but i have to the progesterone only pill but the pain doesn't seem to get any better. does anyone know what this could be?
thank you
