Your surgeon should have prescribed pain medication for your post operative recovery. However, the pain you're describing is caused from excess gas within your body (gas used during the operating procedure). Walking around, stretching your arms, and having a friend massage the area can relieve the temporary pain that exists in your shoulder/neck area. Unless you have other issues (such as an ulcer) you can using an OTC NSAID like Advil, aleve, etc. to help. As mentioned above, the prescription from the surgeon for your general anagesic (typically vicodin or generic hydrocodone) can be used temporarily as well.
Lastly, some people, me included, were approved to use OTC products like Gas-X, Tums, and Pepto bismol to help as applicable.

It's not gas sweetheart. It's just phase one of life without a gallbladder and phase two sucks worse than phase 1 because it was never about the gallbladder - it was about a little pud of a doctor whom didn't listen and wanted money, money, money so of course it's your gallbladder..... what else could it be? How about pancreatic disease.
