Hey Girls! Amazing news... are you ready for this... two months in a row now I have had no pain, NO PAIN during my period. (In January I was practically suicidal). What did I do? I changed my eating habits, that is it. After reading the book "Eating Alive II", I decided to change my eating habits. I cut out sugar, wheat, alchohol, coffee, and chocolate from my diet. I started eating for the season -- since I live in the Mid-West, that means no salads or fruit (since its winter), and mostly have been eating cooked veg and white meat and fish. Ta-da! No pain! I am serious none. Its like a miracle.
I had gone to the women's clinic after my first post. The head doctor said it sounded like a classic case of Endometriosis -- but they would have to do the OP to really prove it. She suggested I talk to my regular Obgyn about it, and come back this spring for the laproscopy. I cannot wait to phone back and tell her that I do not need the operation. I am thrilled.
So. It sounds drastic. But it is totally worth it! Give up the junk food -- and change your life for the better. In a nutshell: According to this book, we put on so much stress on our liver (and other organs) that they cannot work properly -- and thus build our own breeding ground for disease. Oh. I also take acidophilus, and saw a naturalpath who gave me homeopathic medicine for the liver.
Give it a try. Even after 4 weeks it made a difference. Let me know if it works for you!

Typically, I try to eat healthier and exercise, but my period is always very painful-- just like what you're all describing. Nothing ever worked before. I thought my unhealthy lifestyle would contribute to the worst period ever, but, instead, I was delighted with the best.
So I'm thinking that it has something to do with stress.
