For the last couple days i've had acute pain in my testicles, after doing an examination today I found that part of a large vein on my right testicle is black (possibly very dark blue), I also have cracking on the lower part of my testicles and a glossy wax light substance in some areas, its red and sore, and the dark part of the vein hurts badly if i touch it

i was wondering if this could be caused by hot baths, which i took one yesterday (my feet are usually burned from the hot water, ive lost all feeling in them)

Hi Hang,

Are you diabetic? When you say you lost feeling in the feet that's why I ask.

I don't think it's from hot water unless you see signs elsewhere.

Dark blue or black is not a good sign. That indicates that there is no or very little blood flow. The cracking skin and wax like substance is not good either. The tissues are dying. It could be due to a circulation problem or an infection.

You need to get to a doctor ASAP. Without seeing this, but from your description, it almost sounds like gangrene. If it is from the hot water, then you have a severe burn that needs to be treated.

Please let us know what happens, good luck.

I don't think I'm diabetic, but I probably have high blood pressure, could that be a cause?

Hi,

I don't think it's from high blood pressure. Why have you lost feeling in your feet? That's just one of my concerns. Do you have excessive thirst and frequent urination?

Here are my concerns: You have a dark blue or black vein on your scrotum. You don't say that you had any trauma to cause this damage, and you would have known if you did. The skin is cracking and the skin doesn't feel or look right.

Now you add in that you "probably" have high blood pressure. That tells me that you haven't been to a doctor in a while. You also say you've lost all feeling in your feet. This is telling me that something serious is going on.

It may not be gangrene but things aren't looking right down "there." Please go see your doctor. Get the blood pressure checked and find out why you can't feel your feet in addition to the other problem.

Please keep us posted.

As of now it looks like the discoloration is gone, I don't know if it was being pinched or something while I slept but that seems to have gone away.

The reason I'm not too concerend about my feed is that It has been that way for a long time, when I was a kid I would walk gravel roads barefoot, and I still don't take very good care of my feet (it's the bottom of my feet and my heel that I don't have much feeling in, not my whole foot).

It is true I haven't been to the doctor in awhile, last time that I had a checkup I had prehypertension and the doctor reccomended I eat less salt, which I did but recently my eating habbits have declined, which is why I think I might have high blood pressure. As far as I know none of my relatives had diabetes, for now I feel pretty good. I drink what has always been a normal ammount for me, although sometimes I am dehydrated when I wake up, one time last week it was so bad that trying to drink a little water triggered my gag reflex.

Hi,

I'm glad the discoloration is gone. Do you still have the waxy and cracked skin? Keep your eyes on that. If it's not better in a couple of days get it checked.

It sounds like a checkup might be a good idea at some point though.

Take care

Hangs or Ians,

Ever find an answer?  I too am experiencing this, without the pain.  Skin is also tender, and a slight amount has rubbed off.  Checked with the doc and he is stumped, great.

Shaik,

See your doctor. It can be an infection, epididymitis is a common one that can cause pain.

A physical exam is necessary.

Good luck.
