I have developed a hard lump in front of my right ear and on the jaw line which is causing pressure in my right ear. It happened suddenly tonight and it does not hurt but I do notice it is putting pressure on my right ear. I did not eat anything that would suspect an allergy. Does anyone know what this may be? It is approximately 2-3 inches in diameter?

I noticed the same lump you all describe one day after getting what I suspect is a spider bite.  I'm hoping both lumps go away without needing medical treatment.

Im not sick and one of these bumps appeared in the morning after a poor nights sleep. Does anyone else have one of these bumps who hasn't been sick?

always go and see your doctor this might be your saliva gland and may need investigating

My doctor told me that it is a nasal infection. He gave me corticosteroids, but I cnt take them bc they make my heart race. =/ try putting raw rice in a sock then microwave it and hold it to your ear. Also helps with ear infections.

Ok so I think I'm in tye right place,, for ass long as I can remember ive had this hard round like lumb underneath my skin in the back of my left ear on my neck and it has never hurt so I never really tripped off it I just let it be because I thought it was probably something that happened at birth . Yesterday or maybe the day before I noticed that another one is growing in on my face this time right in front of my right ear awee bit above the bone that's connected to my jaw that moves up and down when you open your mouth. Now the difference between the one on the left side and this one is that this one is painful,, it makes the whole right side of my face hurt to the point where to escape the pain I just sleep all day and don't get me started on the pain and pressure I feel when I touch it or press down on it I told my mom about it she pressed down on it to feel and no exaggeration necessary I almost passed out . I'm starting to get SCARED that I might have a MINI TUMOR,, SUM1 Help me please it'll be greatly appreciated.

I know what mine is. I had a lump behind my jaw under my ear. Its movable, swells, and sometimes there is discomfort if I mess with it. Appointments over the past four weeks have confirmed its pleomorphic abenoma. Its a benign tumor of the salivory glands but can change into something more serious. I've had this thing for three years and read so many forums about lumps under the jaw but didn't think it was anything to worry about. I just hoped for the best and ignored it. I'm gonna have to have surgery to get it removed which only sucks because I hate having an I.V. started. This is not meant to scare, even though I am scared, I only mean to warn. For years I thought it was a swollen lymph node but deep down I knew it might be more. If you have had it for years its probably pleomorphic abenoma.

Funny how we people are when we discover weird bumps. I just discovered a painful to touch small bump in the same location (beside earlobe upper jaw). I concur with many with it being a swollen lymph node. It makes sense as I'm currently fighting pink eye. Infected eye on the same side of face of where the bump is.

I too have an area just outside my ear that is painful but it is not as much a bump as it is swelling. Just curious, but do you have pain behind your ear where your ear is attached to your head? I do, and usually it's an outer ear infection. Thank the Lord I have cipro drops.
