Okay so heres a mystery that has been bothering me for over a 2 years now.. Mind the mistake in spelling and typing ssry ahead of time

I have painful cramping in what feels like my uterus, mostly at night, cramps come and go all night long waking me out of my sleep
I believe it is in my uterus because i have the same cramping after an orgasam (with or with out pernertration)
Cramps started about two yrs ago after i had an IUD removed to try to have another baby. (Which failed, i did not get pregnat after almost 2 yrs of trying and i had the IUD put back in to stop my period in hopes of stoping the cramping which failed also)
Cramps last about an hr trobbing though what feels like my uterus and i use heat packs or a hot tub to sooth them (which works for a little bit) but the cramps come back a couple hrs later.
Its not every night and when it strated it was at first three day month I saw my OBGYN he said "ovulatian pain" and told me this was prime time to try to make me a baby.. So I continued to try with out sucess after about 6 mo the cramping had evolved to about one week out the month usually about two weeks into my cycle..Within another three months..two weeks out of every month i was getting up three times a night to treat cramps. I went back tot he obgyn and he said "PMDD" Gave me yazamin and told me to take it and if i still wanted a baby to take it carelessly to help improve my chances.. If that make any sence.. Well I tried that but I have bi polar disorder and the hormones made me crazy By one year mark i was insane and and getting up everynight five or six times a night.. I complained to my obgyn and he said He was stumped so went to my PCP who orderd a bunch of tests Cat scan utlersound pelvic ultersound. and an upper GI which u have to swollow this awful stuff and they take xrays and c**p GROSSSS!! cat scan clean upper gi clean ultersound reveals a .8 cm fibroid on my uterus... Brought results to OBGYn and he said no the fibriod is not the cause... In the mean time i began to come down with a million other aches and pains in my joints and mucles and was dianossed by a rumatoligist with Fybromyalgia... Was given PT lyrica and some mucles relaxers and sent home... I could not longer stand the cramps so i asked the OBGYN to put the iud back in see if we could stop the cramps since before i was tring to conceive i had no prolems with IUD. We put the IUD back in and for like a month afterwards i had spotting and cramping. Then the cramping at night subsided for about a month i got good sleep and wasnt bothered at all...Then all of a sudden inthe middle of the night i waking up with the cramping again... I go back to the PCP and he does another Pelvic ultersound and the Fibroid is now 1.6 cm.. So I go over to the OBGYN witht eh results and I leave a note on the back results..IM gunna go insane i cant sleep im up allnight again with cramps...Dr. Mapili thinks this fibriod is cause the pain. is there treatment for this is this possible. please compare results to last ultersound and call me..

So im finally sleeping in bed this morning and the OBGYN calls me. I pick up the phone and explain how the lack of sleep makes my emotinal problems worse Im worried with real cause that im gunnna drowned in my tub at night cause Im heavely medicated to sleep and the pain is waking me and i go down to the tub and fall asleep thats if i dont break my neck stumbbling down the stairs. HEs a great doctor and he has been my obgyn since my first baby 5 yrs ago and he was my sisters obgyns also. So of course he was very sympatetic and explained that he did not believe that thet FIBROID wasthe cause of the problem he said many women have them for years with no problems.. He says my symtoms are random in nature and usually speaking gynocologicly things happen in cylcles and he mentioned that it could be the fybromyalgia .. he suggested that we try some LUPRON to try to force my cycle to stop.. I told him that was sleeping he metioned that i should google Endometriosos and Lupron and get back to him...

Though i do agree that some of my sysmptoms are close to what is listed under endometrosis. It is said that the most common symptom is heavy bleeding and periods.. Which i do not have nor have i ever had. Not to say my period was light in measures of blood/pain.. It sucked liked everyone elses but It was really the only time i wasnt waking up with cramps..!!!!! My period never made me stop and run to the bath all night long..

Im 26, I have one five yr old child I do have all sort of psycological problems. Including Bi polar OCD PTSD and Borderline personaly disorder and ADHD..(OR so they SAY) My daughter was accidental pregnacy she was deliverved C section cause she was breech. I was told i have small and heart shaped uterus {what ever that means} and that was the most likely cause of her being breech..

Im confused and tired of the run around.. I love my OBGYN i think hes a great doctor and i want to believe he knows what he is doing but im not so sure.. Im reluctant to take the lupron treatment with positive diagnosis of this endometreosis..Because i have so many emotinal problems i am afraid that the lupron make me loopy/depressed like the hormones in Birth control pills

I am sorry you have to go through all this pain and suffering. I think it is time that you seek a second opinion from another gynecologist. Doctors are not perfect. They have biases just like everybody else. Just because fibroids cause no problem in many women does not rule out the possibility that they can cause problems in some women. You may just be one of the unlucky ones. I wish you the very best.

I am having the same problems with the cramping as well. I went through this back in December and in January had to have 2 cysts and a tumor (which did not show on the catscan) removed and ended up losing my job due to the whole process of trying to find out what was going on. From February till around May I was doing okay then I had the pain again, now they say I have another cyst but that they don't think it's the cause (different doctors) and I am reliving it all again from previously (minus the job which I still have not had a replacement of). I did in April have my Mirena IUD removed (and am happy I did cause of other complications). Hopefully you and I can find answers, but be PERSISTANT don't let the doctors tell you how your body is "feeling" or what could be causing it. You deal with it daily and they don't and everyone's body reacts differently. Plus if you're like me, and many other women, your doctor is a MAN so he really don't understand "normal period/ovulation" pain.

I have the cramping too, I went to a psychologist (cause my 1yr old is about to have her 2nd lot of open heart surgery) and she said it's caused by anxiety. With trying for another baby that can make you anxious, any little detail. I had scans tests the lot and nothing came up. She told me that there is a bit in your brain that can effect your body, making you feel the pains and that. Mine feel like I have someone up there trying to rip out my uterus. Go and see a psychologist and talk to them about it. Hope this helped a bit :-)

Although none of you will likely see this as rational health advice (because it's not advertised on television, the medical profession does not receive any education concerning it, and the big Med-Pharma machine would become considerately less profitable if people became structurally and neurologically more balanced and naturally, therefore healthier, etc) I suggest you see a principled Doctor of Chiropractic to see if your spine needs adjusting.

Subluxation in the spine not only can mean compromised joints in neck, back, and pelvis, but it also means the lines of communication (nerves) to your organs and glands are diminished.  The brain doesn't work properly, either, when the spine has misalignments putting pressure on the nervous system.

Good luck, and take some advice from someone who knows.  The body knows how to be healthy, and function properly, it just needs to be interference-free

This reply will probably be too late but maybe it might help another woman. DO NOT take Lupron. I was on it in my 20's for endometriosis and it made me an insane crazy person. It literally puts you into s chemically induced menopausal state and with that you get ALL of the symptoms. Hot flashes, mood swings, irritability, chances for osteoporosis are increased and it wreaks havoc on your body in general. I haven't been on it for over 15 yrs but I'm still suffering from what it did to me. I wish I never took it. Please find a different ObGyn if they suggest this drug to you. It's awful and only recommended by docs who aren't as up to date with how to deal with endometriosis.
Also, I recently had a very large fibroid removed...it took up almost my entire uterine cavity. I can tell you first hand that they DO cause cramping and that they can make your period prolonged. The period before they removed it was a little over two months long.
In my opinion, you need a second opinion.
