For the past month or so, I have been dealing with a painful pimple-like thing on my lower scrotum about 2 inches above my anus. It is dead center on the scrotum's "seam" of skin.
It is very painful after walking (presumably because of the rubbing against skin and fabric). I'd hoped that may go away or eventually drain. I'm trying to avoid the urge to "pop" it, but it has been so irritated for so long I am not sure it it would be able to be popped.
It's in a hard location to view regularly, but it does not seem to have a white-head and the "pimple" is slightly raised and just a shade darker than my own complexion. If not for the pain when walking, etc, I may not have ever noticed it.
Any info, suggestions would be appreciated. Clearly, it's time to see a DOC..any info on what type of DOC would help too (i.e., dermatologist? proctologist? urologist? etc)

Is there any follow-up to this? I just discovered the same thing, right on the mid-line and very sore. Any help would be appreciated.
IS there a follow up to this??????
If there is a whitehead or it is very soft than it can be drained and packed by your doctor.
It may not be time to drain it yet. Eitherway your doctor can start you on some antibiotics which should make the infection go down or a whitehead start to form.
