I have these and always have... My mom pops them with a needle and squeezes the stuff out- I don't pop mine unless they come to a head but I started washing with a soap called hibicleanse- it's a very strong antibiotic surgical wash that u get at the drugstore- walgreens-cvs-rite aid... It's in a light teal bottle it's kind of expensive but has helped a lot I will still get a few but maily just in summer when I sweat but it has definitely reduced the amount... Good luck.

I have had this same problem for a few years now. I found that cornstarch is a great help. By applying it to the bumps several times a day, it will dry them out and they will disappear within a few days. Cornstarch also acts as a buffer, and will relieve the pain of rubbing instantly.

I too have had these for about a year now and slightly over weight but I've weighed the same for years so I doubt that's the reason I get them, maybe just a common thing because us that are larger have thighs that rub more?

I find that they get the worst about 1 week before menstruation and most of the time go away about 5 days after my cycle is over. Then they reappear the next month like clock work. I do find that bandaids help give some relief when they get super painful, especially when they look red/ feel warm but don't have a head yet... if I do the band aid trick with I know this sounds strange but I add hemorrhoid cream to the bumps BEFORE I place the band-aid. I find that this helps reduce the swelling and pain just like with hemorrhoids. For me personally this works better than neosporin.

I'm pretty sure they are a form cyst, but man alive I'm glad to know I am not the only one!

Hey! sooo.. Im 23 .. and was diagnosed last year with hidradenitis suppurativa as well. I also had palinoidal cyst that is reoccuring (tailbone area, under the skin) which I have had 2 operations on in the last 5 yrs and about to go for a 3rd .. both have been painful, annoying, and at times interferring with just simple life activites. Its sad to live with sometimes, but I have accepted it and dealt with it the best I can. My surgeon actually told me as well as the specialist he sent me to that both my weight and smoking are making it worse. Therefore I cannot get an operation until I quit for atleast 3 mos, which has not been going well. For the most part I use band aids to keep my clothing from getting any drainage on them, as well as keeping one from spreading to a new sore. I have it most severly in between my thighs..few under my arms.. a couple in the buttock area and a couple that come and go between my breasts. All areas that just get soooo painful when I have an outbreak. I have seen me use a whole 100 pack of bandaids in one day :( .. Anyways, its not a curable thing.. it just requires maintenance.. most importantly.. weight loss, healthy habits (no smoking, diet) .. keeping the areas dry, anti biotics, cleansing the area with anti bacterial soaps.. and hoping for the best ! Also, it seems I have the worst breakouts right before my menstrual cycle. I hope this was helpful.. I know its a pain, but if you have these issues now, I reccommend seeing a specialist and taking care of any weight issues now rather than later. I wish I wouldn't have let it get as far as it is now for me. When I was smaller and not smoking and exercising I was not having these issues to the extent I am now.

I have this same issue until I tried something that helped tons. I started wearing spandex under my shorts to that went to just above my knees. The spandex cuts down the friction on your legs a lot. Hope this helps.

I feel everyone's pain. I've honestly always been overweight and had excessive amounts of stress in my life my whole life. What I notice is that in the winter [wearing yoga pants and sweatpants] I do not have these issues. The bumps mostly go away and the discoloration isn't nearly as severe. But as soon as the summer hits, they get so bad. I get the little tiny red dots then the big penny size bumps all over my inner thighs that rub. Don't worry everyone you guys are not alone. Its definitely in my case caused by my thighs rubbing together making the friction burns which causes the discoloration. Then on top of that you have the sweating that inflamed the entire area turning all your follicles into pimple looking things. What I'm trying right now is putting Vaseline deferments rubbing areas. What also works [I've heard] is gold bond. Aloe Vera. Deoderant [Not gel]. Diaper paste. Also body glide gel. Hope this helps. Just know you guys are not alone lol I understand wearing shorts is cute but risking your thighs I feel is almost not worth it.
