Hey guys, I have the exact same thing, been happening for years now. What I find works usually is after you ejaculate, make sure you squeeze every last bit of semen out of your penis when you're cleaning up afterwards. Does anyone here also notice that you are able to urinate even while completely erect when you need to? When you're completely erect your body should flip a switch that doesn't allow you to urinate, but still some people can push past that. I think that those who can urinate while hard are more susceptible to this problem as the valve between urine and semen will sometimes not shut, mixing the semen and urine together causing the burning sensation. Just my guess.

I have this problem also. It first started about 3 years ago, after getting oral sex from a female. The pain is a burning sensation in the bottom portion of my penis, between the tip of my head and the begining of the shaft. The sensation is worst after I ejaculate and lasts for about a week after. I went to Dr's and got tested for STD's but no one could tell me what was going on. About a year ago the pain just went away, around the same time I was having sex on a regular basis. A few months after the pain went away I again hooked up with the original girl. The pain came back again, after getting oral sex again from her. Some Dr's told me it was probably psychological but the pain is too real to be that.

I'm also experiencing this problem and have been for a while. I'm no doc, but I've come up with a couple rational conclusions that make sense to me.
Why it happens:
"The inside of the urethra has a spiral groove (like rifling in a gun barrel), which makes the urine flow in a narrow stream."
Keeping this in mind, it's logical to assume that masturbation, especially "turbulently" (to put it lightly), would cause some friction to occur. So the ridges of these rifles would probably begin to become inflamed somewhat, narrowing the space available for semen to travel through the urethra, decreasing the effectiveness of the rifling, and likely causing discomfort when semen gets caught in the urethra. It seems to me that this will probably only occur as a result of masturbation, not of sexual intercourse (although should your urethra still be inflamed during sex, you'll probably still experience the discomfort) because sex tends to be much less abrasive.
Possible fixes:
-Since the urethra is probably getting inflamed, try using an icepack or soaking in some cool water.
-Push along the urethra, including the area behind the testicles (might as well call it the taint), which is where your urethra meets your bladder.
-Take some ibuprofen, or another anti-inflammatory.
-Cut back on masturbation so that your urethra has ample time to heal between sessions.
-Be less aggressive with your style of masturbation.

Hey guys, glad I found this forum. I recently began having pain after ejaculation and didn't know what the heck it could be. A friend suggested I take D-Mannitol (a sugar) which can clear-up bacterial infections and urethritis quickly. I began taking it and my symptoms cleared in a day or two. You can buy it at most health food stores or online.

I agree with the water theory. I noticed that if I am depleted before sex then I experience the burning but if I have a lot of water beforehand it never occurs

I could not quite understand why I was having a problem with my penis burning after sex/masterbation. No STDs here unless my wife is cheating - I doubt it. The post relating to the acidity of urine really makes sense to me considering I have been drinking up to 5 plus cups of coffee a day recently. Looks like I am going to have to cut back.

I to have sought the advice a a team of Doctors at the Public Clinc as well as my family Doctor...we have narrowed this down to possibly some strain of Candida or Yeast infection that seems to be resistent to current medications on the market. Matter of fact some of the "cillin" medications seem to actually help this virus out. Nay to the guy on the HIV as I have had 3 tests over the past 12 mths and no antibodies or virus is present. As well I have been tested for all the usual STD's 2 seperate times and all are negative. I even tried the coconut oil this morning I will report back on that. Seem that certain foods seem to cause this virus to show up more prolific then other times (i.e anything that contains, is made with or promotes the growth of yeast, such as breads and yes my friend BEER). Perhaps the guy with the prostrate angle could be right and I may persue that next. In the mean time if a few of you talk to your Doctors about a strain of Candida that is drug resitent maybe we can figure this thing out. Keep me in the loop.

I have also had this problem. Usually when I masturbate and don't have a complete ejaculation or I don't urinate after I get a slight, sometimes strong, burning sensation in my penis. The best thing I know to do is urinate after you masturbate or have sex.

I have the same issue as you guys posting, just one question though, when you guys get the burning sensation does your penis go erect?
I find that after i masturbate, sometimes the burning sensation wont actually kick in until a few minutes, sometimes maybe 10 minutes after, and when it does kick in my penis goes erect again, even if it has become totally soft. It will generally stay around for 10-50 minutes, and whilst it is burning my penis stays erect the whole time, and then once it goes away the penis will go soft.

I am pleased to know I am not the only guy with post-orgams burning. I am a 47 year/male that been living with this problem for 7 years now right after my circumcision. Before my tissue-cut my masturbation lube was pre-cum and saliva only, no after burning pain follow. My problem started exactly when I started using a synthetic lube which I used for several a couple before realizing it was the culprit. I switch synthetic lube and the burning persists. About 4 years into dealing with this problem, I have finally found the real culprit behind this pain, in one word: wine. I am convinced it is the sulfites in wine that is causing my pain. I am infrequent masturbator and whenever I do it after I had two glasses of wine, I always drink plenty of water to flushed as much of the sulfite out of my system as possible to reduce the pain. My remedy if the burning happens is two Advil (my preference), a mild warm wash of the penis. And duration patience of 30-40 mins. Forget about sitting or laying still, its not going to happen. The burning pain is agony and walking around helps.
Strangely, I have found another mild erection helps also. Keep your porns on stand-by

I went through the antibiotics and $$ with doctors. No answers. I have another appointment for my first prostate exam tomorrow. I am 42. I've had this problem for three months, but I'm not in pain like I was and the feeling like something's infected in my penis is gone. It only hurts after I urinate for a little while and only sometimes, not every time. I take forskolin and it seems to help. I've only been taking it for a week and I feel 90% better than I did for the past three months. But I feel what I have is a prostate problem. My groin was sore and when I sat down it felt like something was inside me pushing there. I started taking urinozinc four days ago and the swelling and soreness is going away. But I still have some dribbling.

I have the same thing. But it only happens sometimes, It's when I masturbate and then urinate. I was thinking to myself what it could be and I done a little reasearch, but not on the topic, but I think it could be the fact that when you ejaculate, the semen is Alkali, your urine is usually acidic, I think it may be the sudden change of pH's that cause your urtethra to sting/burn. hope this helped a bit, that was just what i think's happening to me. I also havn't had sex at all yet, as I personally think im too young, so I don't think it's related to STD's.
