I got it checked at GUM clinic. They said it belongs to the thrush family, Daktacort cream works well, apply twice a day for at least a week.

Hope this helps.

Have you tried using a penis health creme? These cremes are made specifically for penis skin and combat, among other things, the peeling skin problem you are experiencing. Get a good creme with vitamins and nutrients and your penis will start looking and feeling better soon. Good luck!!

Stop using the pumice stone and apricot scrub - you will just irritate the skin. You probably have balanitis, which is usually a hygiene-related issue; or you could have a yeast infection (AKA thrush). You should get it checked by a doctor, and it can be easily treated - treatment depends on the cause. Using a penis health creme can help ease the itching and peeling while you follow the doctor's treatment plan.

Thrush is comon can be caused by stress, I have it. It can be caused by anti biotics as well so if u are treating acne, get ur medication changed. And don't wash with soap. And eat lost of yogur. It will give away.

I had this problem. Firstly, stop using any type of soap and only wash your penis with warm water. It may be thrush which is rare for men to contract, but it is possible - go to the pharmacy and ask for Canesten cream. This is for vaginal thrush, but fine to apply on the head of your penis. The pharmacist may try to tell you that guys can't get thrush (which is BS) so just say it's for your girlfriend. If it doesn't clear up after a week (which it didn't for me), you will need to consult your doctor. In my case, It was a bacterial infection which you can get on any part of your body and I just so happened to get it on my penis. My GP prescribed me antibiotics and a cream to apply twice daily. It cleared up in a week. My GP also assured me that this was not due to poor hygiene or sexually transmitted. Good luck, fellas.

Can you give me an update on how this is working for you thus far? I've had this problem for a few years now but it just started to get worse about a few weeks ago and I am willing to try the neosporin.

Don't use hand soap while masturbating. It leaves fragrance residue of something and when exposed to moisture like sweat it reactivates and causes irritation.

Everyone commenting... It's 90% likely that what you're describing is a candida infection (fungal infection) - essentially thrush... It's fine. Not ideal, but you're not going to die and it's not going to drop it... The only issues are that it's itchy and ugly.

Treatment options (if you're still unsure, defs see your local doctor - they've seen atleast another 10 penises for that day before u get in to them...) are clotrimazole (the same medicine that girls use for thrush - the same that's in canestan and those products) or lamisil.

The trick - once it looks better, keep using for another 2 or 3 weeks.
Otherwise it'll come back then you have to start again.
This stuff just happens. Some people get it from using scented soaps, some get it from using their spit as lube etc. it's allll good. Relax, goto the chemist and ask for clotrimazole, when they ask you what for, say "I've got tinea between my toes"

Just keeping using it for two more weeks once you've decided that you're "healed"

Peace and love

Actually, using a topical steroid like clomitrazole and biodes-whatever, for a long period of time is going to cause unwanted side effects. You may cure the fungus, but if you apply the steroid cream on your penis for a few weeks, you'll experience irritation, itching, redness, and pain. Why? apparently these steroids cause skin thinning, and if not regulated, you can permanently thin your penile skin.

Therefore, it is best to stay away from steroids for your genital area.

There are many other natural ways that can help.
