I had a partial hysterctomy with 28 years. Now I am 37 years old. Of course, I still have my ovaries. I have experienced many unnormal symptoms, such as leg muscle aches, hair loss, insomnia, extreme fatigue, depression and extreme anxiety. Before few weeks I have experienced hot flashes they are very brief and not every day, usually in the mornings. Obviously I don't have monthly cycles so I can't use that as a gage. I visited my doctor and few different gyn's. One of gyns said : "Yes it is menapause" but one of them says NO. My hormone levels are low. I took Premarin for cca. 1 year and the symptoms has been gone. Is this truly perimenapause? Has anyone else experienced similiar symptoms at such a young age?

Please give me your input.

Thanks!
Your blood hormone levels are tricky and one off levels don't tell you everything. I suggest you to find a specialist that is willing to do more tests. Nobody know everythng. Visit more specialists and doctors, collect info from more experts so you could decide what's going wrong.

After I went off the pill, my hormones went up the creek. I have a good gyno who put me on testosterone treatment for my libido and it was great.

However, I wish you good luck!

Try to find some of the postings about Progesterone cream. I found a lot of helpful info there. Maybe it could help you too!

I have almost the same situation like you, only I'm 45 and had a partial hysterectomy at 32. I suffred years long with these and other symptoms, not realizing I could have been peri-menopausal. I still have so many questions about my past illnesses as to whether or not I should attribute them to peri-menopause. Right now I'm worried about the hairloss. How bad is your's falling out? My doctors have no clue about this. At the moment I have stomach problems. I'm very upset that the OB/GYN that did my hysterectomy didn't tell me all of this could happen early as a result of the surgery.

I with you the best. Take care!

I am 29 years old and I am experiencing perimenapause and this sucks. Well. on Friday I go to the doctor to see if that is exactly, what I have. I have researched into Perimenapause and I do have over 3/4 of the symptoms. This is putting so much strain on my relationship with my husband and I. To top it all off, I have a 3 yr old son and a 9 yr. old step-daughter. All I just keep on telling the kids, "I am sorry, momma is just sick." Does everyone go though this, too? Most of the research that I have done says that this usually starts around the age 35.

When you have a hysterectomy even if the ovaries are left intavt and not removed, within a few years of the womb going the ovaries shrink and shrink so that they are no longer working; in this situation regardless of your age you go through the menapause. What the recommended treatment is usually depends on your general health, but chinese remedies for peri and menapausal symptoms are safe, no side effects like HRT and they keep you young.

Hope this helps.

I'm having mood swings from happy to mad, periods are getting to be a little shorter and lighter in flow, but cramping is still severe. Is hair loss a symptom of perimenopause because of the imbalance of hormones?
