I decided to start a blog on my bunion surgery. I got bunion and taliors bunions surgery today around 11:00am/noon. I was really scared but I the surgery went really well and i am still in no pain! I am so suprised. The doctor said the medication he used to numb my foot during surgery usually lasts between 6-8 hours but can last up to 24. I am wondering if my foot is still numb and thats why I am virtually pain free. either way, i am VERY happy that there is nothing to complain about to this point. The doc said a majority of the pain would be tonight and tomorrow. Basically first 48 hours. I am keepin my foot elevated and iced so maybe that is doing the trick as well. I took a pain killer just incase i fall asleep or just to be ahead of the pain. If it continues to go this way, I am absolutely getting my 2nd foot da=one (same problems) ASAP. I will continue to write hopefully everyday to keep people informed. I hope this helps someone out there and if there are any questions, let me know. I will be in bed rest for 3 weeks so I will be happy to answer.
