I have just got over pnemonia in both lungs. I just got a call from my son and my grandson is in ICU with pnemonia. Could I have given him this? It has been a month since i have seen hom.
Thank you
Gerry
Well, pneumonia is not but the organisms that cause pneumonia can be. Has your grandson drank from your glass during his stay? Have you shared spoons, forks and plates? Have you kissed him? Has he touched your handkerchiefs?

So, you couldn’t have passed pneumonia to him but he may have come in contact with some of the germs that got stuck in the mucus in his lungs, multiplied and created pockets of puss.
However, if you have been using antibiotics during your illness, this should have decreased the chances of germ spread. However, as I have already mentioned , he may have come in contact with them in other ways.

If your grandson washed his hands regularly, used different glasses and tissue, this could be just a coincidence.
