Hi,
I am a 41 year old woman that had endo ablation procedure about a year ago. The procedure was hopefully going to reduce heavy periods, and subsequently stop the pain of a rather small fibroid. I do have very light periods, spotting really, but what feels like fibroid pain is occuring again. During my monthly 2 days of agony, I also have bowel problems, very painful gut, and soft pencil thin stool....requiring me to stay by the toliet for the first 3 hours of my day. My back feels like its gone out first, then I realize it must be that time. I get some spotting usually 3 to 5 days after the pain starts. Can you tell me more about ablation syndrome? Also, intercourse is shockingly painful during that time frame. The general way i would describe the pain is that it waves in and out and is peircing. Sometimes I just hold my breath.
Hi:
I had the ablation surgery 8 years ago, which went well, with no side affects. In addition, I am still fertile. I have a multitude of fibroids which have been described as looking like grape clusters. These fibroids cause me the same type of pain (occasionally) that you have described. I actually had those pains last week. Depending on how your fibroids are positioned, your may have pain elsewhere. My uterus, I'm told, is the size of a 5 to 6 month pregnancy. You can't tell because I am not a large person. The effects of this are that during ovulation, my organs get slightly displaced and my stomach gets pushed up a bit because of additional swelling of my uterus. As a result, I have great discomfort when I consume even a little food. From my viewpoint, you have some of the same issues. See your doctor, however. He/she can do an ultrasound to give you specific answers. Keep checking to make sure there aren't other issues. I hope that my experience will be helpful to you....Let me know.

I am feeling like this is related to ovulation. My uterus is tipped, and I have also had a tubal ligation, 4 1/2 years ago. The more I read the more questions I have for my doc, who reviews ultrasound results with me next week. there is post ablation syndrome, fibroid (maybe one small one) the PA says probably endometriosis, or possibly post tubal ligation syndrome. good god. Then the list of symptoms are pretty much the same for clinical depression, peri menopause, etc etc etc. Nobody has seen my left ovary for 5 ultra sounds....could it be attacthed to the bowel that is always blocking the view? I wish it was easier and quicker to get permanent relief.

Thanks for the update. I know that you will find relief soon. The good news is that you seem to be getting really good medical attention, and a lot of it. Don't stop asking the questions. Find comfort in the care if you can. I wish you the very best. Be encouraged. You are on your way to finding the answers and treatment that you need. Please let me know how things continue to go for you. Take care.
