Post Vasectomy problems

How long till it eventually healed? My was left open and agree that the weight of my balls pulling on it seems that it will never heal. The edges have started to scab but it’s cold outside and when they shrivel the scab start cracking and it’s brutal. Please tell me this ended in less than a month.

What was the outcome? I’ve had it done 14 days ago and I also had an east-west cut. It hasn’t really heeled and oozes here and there. Thanks

I am sorry to hear all the negative situations as my experience was not. So I thought I would give a few recommendations to anyone who just had it done or will. I called a couple urologists and my main Dr. One of the urologists told me he was going to put me under so I could be completely out while he completed the procedure. I told him immediately that he was hired. I don’t think I could deal with someone tugging and cutting my boys without any reaction. Wife drove me home and I laid in bed the first day just watching movies. He gave me a prescription for pain killers and antibiotics. I wore the jock strap they put on me at the hospital and one I purchased for the next 2 weeks. I also put a folded ankle sock under my sack so there would be no movement at all bc I was afraid of stretching the stitched incision site. I went one day in boxers on day 7 which put me right back in the jock strap with the sock. It felt kind of like a scab on your knee stretching when I made a few specific movements. Frozen bags of peas were a good help too for the first 2 days. I was given a low dose of a pain killer which was hydrocodone and acetaminophen(20pills)1 every 4 hours. It has been 17 days now and I have been in boxers for two walking freely no issues. I would suggest get someone to knock you out, place frozen peas on it, wear a jock strap with a sock under your balls to keep em up as much as possible with no movement at all and see if you can get some decent pain killers. Not a bad experience and I would do it again as it was just annoying for a week.

i had the vaseptomy 1 month and 11 days ago, my balls havent been the same, i had a lump on both sides of my balls which are sore to touch and the insision hole has healed but is sore, red, and pussing creamy liquid, havent been to the doctors yet as everthing i read about it says it will go away, BS it goes away its been like that for 3 twating weeks, if anyone has pain after 2 weeks or lumps or the hole is pussing go to the doctors because it only gets worse.

So I’m 10 days post procedure. Incision not heeled, vertical cut. Mild pain, more So on the left testicle. scrotum seems filled with fluid. My procedure took an hour. Reading all these posts, wished i had read these before the procedure. I’m not happy. Worried too. Changes you into acting like an old man. Ugh. I am regretting getting this done actually. The problem is we don’t know what to do. I guess we all give it more time. Or can we get this reversed? Writing this as i have a ice pack on my balls

These days they heat seal rather than stitch. Like you I have a small incision but north to south but 11 days in still damp and weeping

I just had a vasectomy and have similar results as yours. I have this sore that’s open on my balls now and I am praying that it closes. My question for you is over time did your wound close and heal? Because right now I am nervous!

I’m at 24 days post op and incision not closed, still the same size. Been taking antibiotics and see the granular tissue healing on inside. Haven’t seen any replies about how long it did end up taking. Some light drainage, but using gauze pads and changing out several times a day to keep clean.

Totally agree if you are the few. I am one I had a vasectomy 28 years ago now and suffered for 25 of them with PVPS. If you had a good experience then you where lucky a dr friend of mine told me that the medical profession know thatPvps can be found in men as high as 33% that's a lot of guys who are led into this simple procedure. The other thing is that men say nothing about their issues. Vasectomy is bull sh*t
