I had a vasectomy 4 months ago. Everything was going fine and I felt great. 5 weeks after my vasectomy I did and hour upper body work out and then ran and walked 2 miles. The next day I did an hour stretch routine. For the next couple of days I noticed that I had an achy pain on my right side of my testicles. The pain came mostly when I would lift stuff. 2 months after my surgery, which was 3 weeks after my workout problems, I helped a family member move. I lifted a few couches and other semi heavy items and then the left side of my testicles began to experience the same problems as my right side. Now it is 4 months after my surgery and I still have pain on both sides if I do anything physical like running, lifting or exercising. I can’t even lift my children to much without feeling some tension. I have contacted the doctor several times to ask for assistance over the phone because I don't have the money he is asking for to go see him. He refuses to speak with me over the phone to help me and I see that as unethical doctor practice. His nurse said they have never heard of anything like what I have described before and that may be true but I don't know. Please help if you can. I would like to know what I have to do to get my life back to order. Thank you for your time.
Hate to tell you this, but you're probably going to have to pony up the money to go in and see him in person.
He's going to want to do a post-op examination and possibly an ultrasound.
I don't blame him for not wanting to consult over the phone, as he can't see, feel, examine and measure you then. And if he tries to prescribe over the phone, that way lies a malepractice suit or worse.
I'm sorry that you have waited this long and had this much pain before getting back with him. Don't know how insurance will look at this, but if you're in pain, I'd go get it checked out. It may be related to the vasectomy...it may not. You don't mention your age nor married status, nor if there are any other issues with sex, lovemaking or the marriage. Any or all could be significant...and that's all background for the doctor to take into consideration.
Make an appointment. Good luck.

Thank you for your quick response. Yes I see your point. I am 25 and I am also married. Sex hurt pretty bad the first few times after this happened and sometimes still I can feel some discomfort but it is not nearly as bad as it was right after it happened. I'll write back if the doc can find out what is going on so somebody else may profit from it also. Thank you.
i am having same problem here. dull aches after physical activities. mine is done 33 days now. i still hope it will go back to normal.
my doctor acted the same way. he wants me to go in. let us know how it goes with you.
