I have a boyfriend and we are still virgins, but we have dry sex with the use of a condom. We do that just to be cautious and make sure that no sperm comes in contact with or near my vagina. One week ago his condom was off and some pre-cum came in contact with my vulva. Probably it wasn’t entered into my vagina but I am worry. Can you get pregnant from precum?

I have to be honest with you and say I don’t think that you are pregnant. Many women can make them feel pregnant or they believe that they really could get some symptoms of it. It is great that you and your boyfriend use condom even when you are having dry sex, but you should anyway be very carefully. Someone says that pre-cum has a higher sperm count than ejaculation. According to this theory pre-cum could make you pregnant even if it comes on the outside area of the vulva. You should know that sperm can survive for up to five days inside the body or maybe even longer. Outside of the body it can survive round 12 hours. Some studies don’t confirm this theory about sperm in pre-cum, and they say there are not higher sperm count then the true ejaculation. Amount of sperm in pre-cum is minimal and varies by individual and situation. Experts don’t agree whether this minimal amount of the sperm in pre-cum is enough to cause pregnancy. In a regular full ejaculation most of millions sperms never survive the journey to egg. It seems impossible that few pre-cum would be able to accomplish what millions can’t.

Its stupid i know, but my boyfriend and i have kinda been playing around with the withdrawl method... He is always quick to withdrawl and has not yet once fully ejaculated. It had come apparant to me that precum does contain sperm and that really worries me. The last time that this has happend was 9/8... and i am due around the 21....
I pray that the possible chance of me being pregnant isnt too high... this has really been botherin me! :'( %-)

Alright, first of all i would like to say that i hope you all who are reading this are not freaking out becasue you think you got pregnant from precum! If you are i will give you medical evidence that would suggest otherwise! On top of that, if you arnt old enough for the kid then stop having sex and pulling out! I am a Christian and i have been in your shoes before i knew my savior and now i want anyone who reads this to know the truth!!!! Here it is, this is from a medical government website!

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=12762415

This should put to rest all of your fears! I hope this helps you all......as a premed student myself i have studied the reproductive systems of males and females many many time! I know that the only way that precum can have semen in it, is if there is any left over from a previous ejaculation. People trust me on this one! You can not get pregnant from precum alone! Please please please hear me out on this! Precum comes from the cowpers glad which is no where near the epiddymus where sperm matures. actually the cowpers gland does not even join the ejaculatory duct it empties into the urethra!!! So people, come on! If you want my opinion from all of this here it is! MEN ARE DISHONEST AND CAN NOT ALWAYS TELL IF THEY ARE COMEING OR NOT!!!! I AM ONE I KNOW! Girls who say that they have gotten pregnant from precum if the guy has not ejaculated previously are just being fooled by the guy! That is the way it goes there is even evidence on government websites that will prove it otherwise! So please stop freaking out.........and as my last statement of advice, do not look to sex to get fulfillment from your boyfriend or girlfriend it produces an attachment that is hard to break if you are young and will not be with that person for forever!!! May the grace and peace of the God of Christ be with you always! have an amazing day and i hope that this blesses you..............

OK, let's say just after withdrawal and cumming outside the vagina, the boys immediately put his penis inside and start to have sex again, are there chances that some sperm got inside the vagina and stars swimming towards the fallopian tude?? I would say YES and not just some of them, maybe thousands of them.

Well, PRECUM is pretty much the same thing. If your boyfriend does urinate in the interval between sex, there can me some sperm left in his urethra, so in this condition precum can cause pregnancy.

What to do? to be on the safe side:
1) don't cum inside the girl
2) avoid withdrawal method during day 11 to day 17 of the menstrual cycle. Wear a condom during this time.
3) during consecutive intercourses, always wear condoms as from the 2nd round.
4)if anything wrong happens, take morning after pill

We should bear in mind that the vagina has a hostile environment for sperm, so even if some cum got inside, there is a great chance that you are not pregnant.
I like to be on the save sides, it saves you from freaking out for 2 weeks waiting for the next period.

“Some concern exists that the pre-ejaculate fluid may carry sperm into the vagina. In itself, the pre-ejaculate, a lubricating secretion produced by the Littre or Cowper’s glands, contains no sperm. Two studies examining the pre-ejaculate for the presence of spermatozoa found none. However, a previous ejaculation may have left some sperm hidden within the folds of the urethral lining. In examinations of the pre-ejaculate in one small study, the pre-ejaculate was free of spermatozoa in all of 11 HIV-seronegative men and 4 or 12 seropositive men. Although the 8 samples containing spermatozoa revealed only small clumps of a few hundred sperm, these could theoretically pose a risk of fertilization. In all likelihood, the spermatozoa left from a previous ejaculation, could be washed out with the force of a normal urination; however, this remains unstudied.”
