i know i feel that way i only stay because he delivered my last one so he has all my paperwork and he specializes in VBACS which he told me i couldnt get one because i had 2 C sections already and they both were elective had nothing to do with my health i was just tired of being pregnant and now that i want to have a vaginal birth he want let me didnt tell me why just said no.
What does it matter if he specializes in Vaginal birth if he already told you that you cannot have one? The greatest concern for women who have had a previous cesarean is the risk of uterine rupture during a vaginal birth. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), if you had a previous cesarean with a low transverse incision, the risk of uterine rupture in a vaginal delivery is .2 to 1.5%, which is approximately 1 chance in 5001.
Some studies have documented increased rates of uterine rupture in women who undergo labor INDUCTION or augmentation. You should discuss the possible complications associated with induction with your health care provider. Recently, ACOG stated that VBAC is safer than a repeat cesarean, and VBAC with more than one previous cesarean does not pose any increased risk.
Are there other factors that make a VBAC dangerous? Your size in general, the width of your birth canal? You need to talk to a doctor that will actually address these issues WITH you and provide you with answers that put you at ease. If he has already told you no, that you will not be allowed to attempt a vaginal birth, what does it matter what he specializes in? When it comes down to it, he has already made the decision to schedule a C-Section.
In this day and age of technology, medical records can be transferred quickly and easily between doctors offices. I wouldn't let the fact that he has your records sway your decision. Were you 100% happy with your experience during your previous birth? If not, I really see no loyalty to this doctor.
no i have no issues i have had a vaginal birth before with my first one so i know i can do it. There are not helath concerns my birth canal is wide enough i have no issues with dialation i asked him during my first appointment and he flat out said no with no reason why.
Consider getting another opinion. Ask family and friends if there is an OB that they would recommend. It is most important that YOU are happy about this experience, and that everyone is healthy.
Hello sweetie. I would strongly suggest that you don't abort because women who usually go thru an abortion end up with physical and medical complications.
I suggest that you seek out your local crisis pregnancy center for help or give your child up for adoption.
PLEASE DONT ABORT! THAT COULD'VE BEEN A LIFE YOU COULD HAVE LIVED! IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE BUNDLE OF JOY! IT COULD HAVE BROUGHT SO MANY MEMORIES TO YOUR LIFE! DONT KILL A BABY! IT DOESNT DESERVE TO DIE!
