So sorry this is going to be long, but it's so complicated! I'm currently taking loestrin 24 Fe, and i haven't skipped any pills this month, just taken a few some hours late. I had sex April 20 without a condom but my friend promised he didn't finish inside me. I believe him. We had sex again may 4 and again he said he definitely did not finish inside me. Again, we had sex may 6 and he did finish inside me- I took the morning after pill the next morning on may 7. Two days later on the 9th I went to my doctor and she told me I had a yeast infection and prescribed me diflucan, a one day treatment pill which I took that day around 5 pm. I started the brown pills in my pack on Wednesday and today Saturday, I still haven't gotten my period. Should I take the white pills again tomorrow? Could this just be from the side effects of the morning after pill? I have taken them before and it has not caused my period to be late. Also, I started taking singulair for allergies this week, and took Advil for a sore throat. Lastly, does smoking effect any of those drugs in any way?! I smoked a few cigarettes last weekend while drunk on accident. Help me please!!!! I'm so confused, there's so many factors to what could have happened! It's also finals week and I'm stressing about that but I've been stressing about this more and haven't studied yet!

Hey Sweetie,

I can't garuntee this answer as 100% but I would say you are not pregnant.  Pre-cum definitely doesn't carry as much sperm as ejaculation so that is really out of the answer and for the one time he did come in you, you're covered by your bc and a morning after pill.  One of the side effects of the pill is that it can delay your periods as well because it is a hormonal pill it will do and cause different things to go on in your body that can mimic pregnancy symptoms.  Plus, you say you are stressed which can also delay periods and mimic pregnancy symptoms.  I know, we females are SOOO lucky.

Anyways, just relax and take a hot bath.  Afterwards, start studying.  Remember bc is 98% accurate, chances of failure are very low.

Hope this helps

It's so hard not to stress though since this is the first time it's been late while on birth control! Is it weird though that I've taken plan b before and it never made my period late? Will taking the white pills again make it not come and should I take a pregnancy test? Thanks for your help!

you are obviously young, I went through plenty of years of periods that were 'off'. It's normal in the female cycle, which is what a doctor will tell you too. On bc it is reliable, you are mixing different types of hormones and that does effect the cycle unfortunately. You will not be pregnant but if you still need to test you will have to wait around 3 or so weeks after intercourse.
