I'm 16 years old and I had protected sex on saturday of may 16th and according to an app that keeps track of my menstrual cycle in my phone, my period was expected the day after I had sex. The app is never accurate I always get my period like a day or two later than it says on the app. I am not sure if he pulled out as he was joking about it but he said he did pull out. I am now 5 days late and I'm freaking out. I cannot be pregnant now I'm only 16 and my parents are going to be very disappointed and I know a pregnancy at this age will have a very bad impact on my future (education, career etc) I don't now who to talk to about this. I regret having sex and I know it was a mistake. Please help..
Hi guest, it is hardly likely you would of missed your period if it was due just a couple days after you had intercourse that was protected, was this your first time or have you been under a lot of stress?
No this was not my first time. But it was my first time after six to seven months. Yes I've been stressing a lot because of this whole pregnancy situation, it is actually driving me crazy..
The stress you are putting yourself under about it could be the cause of your late period.
I really hope you are right. Sometimes I think I might be paranoid but as much as I think about it all makes sense and I just panic. I've heard that sex could delay your period but I don't think is true.
you say you had protected sex do you mean he was using a condom?
Yes he used a condom throughout the whole time.
Well even if he did cum inside you unless the condom split you should be fine. Everyone makes mistakes and does things they regret after so don't be so hard on yourself about it what's done is done and we learn from it hun :-)
Thank you do much. You've helped me do much I'm calmer now. I appreciate your help :)
I meant so*
Your welcome and you may find that your period will start in the next couple days, let me know how it goes on this post :-)
Ughh I'm having my paranoid thoughts again..I really hope you're right about my period coming in the next couple days but I'm so worried because I don't have any symptoms that showing that my period is coming..do you always have to have symptoms for your period to come?
All the time your stressing about it then the more likely it is to be delayed just take your mind off it and think of something else.
Some people don't have any symptoms until it all most starts just depends what symptoms you normally get, besides youth only 6 days late he you go by your app what you said is normally a few days out anyway. I'm sure it will arrive when it's ready. :-)
Okay I'll try to forget about it.. thank you :)
Your welcome and feel free to ask anything you want :-)
