Hi, my brother got vestibular disease. He cant walk, because he doesn’t know which way is up, and which is down. Then the dizziness starts, and he falls down. Does anyone else suffer from this condition, and what are the psychological aspects?
Hi, my mother has vestibular disease. Her psychological aspects of this condition are most connected to her fear of falling. She is so afraid that she is going to feel dizzy and collapse, she won’t get out of the house. I think these psychological aspects are more damaging her than vestibular disease itself. She limits her activities when she is feeling dizzy, and as soon as she is feeling better, her life gets back to the normal. One of the following signs of her disease is ataxia. It is a lack of coordination without weakness or involuntary spasms. She also has motion sickness and nystagmus. I’m suggesting you to help your brother prevent these psychological aspects. He needs to be aware of risk of falling, and not be afraid of it.
