This has been going on for about 2 1/2 or 3 years.
Almost everytime I eat a meal (not like a sandwhich), I feel like I'm going to puke, and 70% of the time I do puke. I don't make myself or even think that it's going to happen (so it's not all in my head), it just happens.
Everyday I wake short of breath with chest pains. I do not smoke, but I do get a ride home with a smoker everyday from work. Sometimes my chest hurts so bad that I can't move.
I also wake up with a migrain and very dizzy or disorientated. The disoriented part goes away after about 3 hours. But the dizziness stays almost all day. I get at least 7 hours of sleep every night, but I am also tired all day, everyday. It comes to the point where I don't go anywhere or do anything anymore. All I want to do is sleep or sit on my couch and watch tv and even then I'm only really half there.
I've never heard of anyone having all of this... What's wrong with me?
Hi, I would recommend getting checked for colitis or illitis. These are gastrointesinal disorders that can cause vomiting and diarrhea. The most common of thes disorders is Crohn's disease. It is marked by swelling and inflamation of the lining of the tract. The tract can split and scar causing the intestine to close up, which prevents food from being digested. When this back up occurs, vomiting can result, as the food has no where to go. Ulcers could also be a problem, as well as reflux disorder. The little flap at the top of the stomach doesn't close right and the food can come back up. This can cause heartburn and even erosion of the esophaegeal lining. Go see a doctor he will probably do a colonoscopy, which is where they insert a camera into the bottom and look for signs of a problem. I am not a doctor but my Dad had Crohn's and your symptoms sound alot like his. The only way to know for sure is to get checked out.

Hi,

I just wanted to suggest that you have a gastroenterologist check your appendix. I went for three months with the Exact same symptoms you have. I went to the doctor every week and they kept telling me that I had gasteroenteritis, colitis, any itis they could think of with the intestinal tract.

Three months later I had lost over 50 lbs (most of which I could afford to lose), was down to 104. Weak , constantly nauseous, by this time vomitting every single time I ate, diffuse stomach pain with no centralized location as to are where the pain was originating.

Anyway to make a long story shorter, I did not get a dx until my appendix finally ruptured completely. Leaving me with a serious case of peritonitis from which I almost died, and lot of stomach problems for years later due to the constant leaking of ick from the appendix for three months.

Bottomline: It doesn't hurt to have this checked out. If appendicitis does not present with "Normal" symptoms, it is frequently overlooked. Heck in my case they even did blood tests and said I had an infection somewhere, but still did not look at the appy.

Anyway, Good Luck and I hope you find relief soon. Remember some people look at a horse and see a horse when in fact it is a zebra. I too, had the colonoscpies, barium enemas, I can't even tell you all the tests I had in which they continued to miss this simple problem.

You can also try googling for a Perforated Appendix and see if it matches your symptoms. I have read that this can continue for years before it is found. I feel sorry for the sufferers that have to go that long.

Right when I read your post I thought "THATS ME!!!!" Have you had any major stress in your life lately or a tragedy or anything major that would change your MENTAL or EMOTIONAL state? I have had DOZENS of major tragedies, losses, betrayals, robbings, been BIGTIME lied to by close people, got moved in my job (which I loved my original position), been cheated on, and then dumped. When ALL these things started happening (about 3 months ago) I almost immediately started puking after EVERY meal I eat, however, I can eat something small and light and not puke, I have has bowel problems, extreme headaches and/or migranes, body aches (similar to the flu), dizziness/lightheaded-ness, no good sleep, always want to just take a nap even after JUST waking up in the morning, and lack of motivation. EVERYONE including my doctor (who is my grandpa as well) say its depression and I need help. They are saying I need help not cause of the depression but because I dont eat. I am not anorexic OR bulemic but it sure as heck seems like it. I ONLY eat one or 2 fruits in the morning and NOTHINGelse in the day. and the times I try to make myself eat more I puke. And it has been this way for 3 months. I dropped from a dress size 8 to a 2 in this past month. yeah it may sound like every womans dream but trust me, its a nightmare. I SEEM LIKE AN ANOREXIC/BULEMIC.

Get tested for depression if all that sounds like you.

i've been puking after eating for a while now. i started a while back. it started last summer, the month before summer started. i'm in my senior year and about a month and a half ago saw a doctor for this issue. the issue had gone from just puking what i ate after eating to puking blood as well. it was to where i was only eating dinner at most, and if not at night, i puked almost right after waking up in the mornings.
my doctor told me what at my body was fluxuating the regulation of my stomach acid. basically i was either over or under producing it. the pill was given to re-regulate it and stabelize the issue. i was told i had a stomach virus that caused inflamation of my stomach lining and the blood could be an old stomach ulcer re-forming.
about 5 days ago i finished my pills, and was told that if it continued to go back in for testing and see if i needed to keep up longer on the pills or take some tests to see what could be wrong.
as i said before, i am in my senior year of high school and hate the issues i am having, it's been holding me back from some of the things i enjoy doing, wether with friends, a girlfriend, or just myself or family. so if anyone has been having the same as me lately, i will not only post the name of the pills i took (i believe you can buy them at a pharmacy), but also what i will be taking if the prescription changes and what the doctor says might be going on with me.
if anyone may know or have advice, i'd really like to hear it. not only am i worried, but so are my family, friends and girlfriend.
thanks for the help anyone may have to offer.

It wasn't till long ago I started to have serious panic attacks. My neighbour died next door at home, my vision got really weird, fast heartbeat, feeling the need to barf as well as sweating like a w**** in church. I am always caught up in anxieties and it ruins both my day but not limited to my health and well being as well as my sex life and other things like poor eating habits and my sleep schedule is piss poor too.

Hello, since i was young, i used to puke after every meal, and i couldnt breathe or swallow until i puke the whole thing out. I went to see a doctor many times and all he kept telling me i have nothing. And while i grew up it kind of stopped for a while, but now it happens every now and then. So i decided to search whats wrong with me, and i found this topic and guys you really helped me find out what is really wrong with me...
i think its from the soft drinks, pepsi, coke, etc. So i suggest to drink only water and fresh juices and stay away from soft drinks. Who knows, maybe thats the reason.

sincerly,

In many soft drinks , there is a preservative called sodium benzoate or benzoate of soda. This preservative is known to cause and enhance anxiety, adhd, depression and other things. I havnt studied other preservatives but it should not be allowed in food and it is in many. So we cant truzt that just because it is allowed in our food that it is safe. Antibiotics are all over our meats unless you go organic. These antibiotics kill probiotics, a good bacteria in our intestines. These probiotics block viruses and bacteria from harming our bodies. Many of them directly fight ulcers, and cancers. When i started to read thisi thought instantly its the food. I avoix soft drinks like the plague. Look into the food you eat. I eat meat but you better believe i know how it was fed and reared. I did get migrain symtoms and puking episodes a couple of years back. I have become much more informed of the food i eat and no more episodes.
