I want to inform myself about pulmonary hemorrhage. I don’t know too much about it. I know it’s very rare disease but it is most common in children aged 1-7 years. Does somebody know something more about pulmonary hemorrhage and hemosiderosis? Please, can you tell me what is the most usual treatment for it?
Pulmonary hemorrhage/hemosiderosis is an acute event characterized by discharge of bloody fluid from the upper respiratory tract. It can occur as a primary disease of the lungs or can be secondary to cardiovascular or systemic disease. Primary pulmonary hemorrhage is more common in children. Treatment consists of oxygen supplementation, blood transfusion and immunosuppressive therapy.
