my husband's pulse rate fluctuates is it bcos of stress or?? in his job he faces nite duty twice a week is it the reason??
It is normal for pulse rate to fluctuate depending on physical activity and mental state. Stress can increase pulse rate and blood pressure. Working night shifts can interfere with one's biological rhythm to cause disorientation similar to that resulting from jet lag. I had worked nights before, and my body temperature actually went down as the night progressed, causing me to become sleepy. Even though the room temperature had remained unchanged, I had to put on more clothes to stay warm, and I had to eat solid food in order to stay awake. I was somewhat disoriented the following morning when I left my workplace, and I found this very stressful. Based on my personal experience, I don't think it is healthy to go against one's biological rhythm. Having said this, I understand there are night owls out there who would function very well at night. Short naps over the course of the day had been very helpful in rejuvenating myself after a long night of work.
