OK, I hope what I am about to type makes sense.
My period is late. I thought I knew how late but apparently I don't (I don't keep track of my periods - I know I should, but I don't). About two weeks or so ago I thought I should be starting and hadn't so I took 2 pregnancy tests because I have been nauseous, tender boobs, tired, and have had occasional headaches. Both tests were negative. I still have not started so a couple of days ago I called my OBGYN and they had me go get a blood pregnancy test, which I did yesterday. Today, I start the spotting, which I NEVER do! Once my period starts normally it is ON! Flood gates opened! This is VERY light, pinkish/brown, like it generally is as my period is ending. The doc said today that my test came back negative.
So I am wondering, if I am implantation bleeding, would my test not come out positive if I am pregnant until after the bleeding is over and if so, how long after?

Our bodies change over time... I am 36 and can tell you my period is not like it was a year ago, nor like it was when I was in my 20's or a teen.
Try to relax... eat well and take care of yourself. You may be stressing over this to the point it is messing with your cycle a bit. (That is known to happen... stress, illness etc can cause hormonal and/or cycle changes)
You may find your period is starting and all is well. If in another week, nothing changes, or the bleeding/spotting stops, I would go back for a re-test.
