I'm 37 years of age and have smoked light cigarettes for 21 years. I have just been diagnosed with asma, and I'm taking a Turbohaler in the morning and of a night, plus if i get a bit wizzy, so i take the blue pump, which most people have. I did have a chest infection first, then i got rid of the cold, gave up smoking and ended up in hospital fighting for my breath. My questions is my body was used to the nicotine, so why is it that now i have give up, i get pains in my chest. I hear so many people giving up, but how do we no that when we give up it dont cause any worser health problems. So my advise is give up, but still have a cigarette once a week., thats my game plan anyway. I'm sure my lungs are black after 21 years, lets hope my lungs get better and my cravings start to go for good.
Everytime people give up smoking, our body seems to shut down and cause more health problems. Something needs to be done to see what happens to our body when we give up. Do we end up dead or healthy thats the questions no one can answer ?
