A bit inappropriate, but had to laugh at your cancer comment. Hope you managed to get the better of it eventually.

I was/am a heavy heavy smoker...for many years, from 2 to 4-5 grams/day. This is the 2nd time when I take a brake from it, and the excessive sweating is the worst. I'm changing my really wet clothes 3-4 times per night. The first time, about 4years ago, it lasted about 8-9 days...now I'm day 5 :) i'm.sleeping alone, of course...and i'm strategically changing my place in bed 4 times...because the sheets and matress gets really wet in the place I.was sleeping...just a few more days and it should be OK :)

Hi
We quit on sunday 17/12. My hubby and i didnt sleep well for 2 nights so far, and weve been sweating big time.
I quit because i cannot afford it. I dont know if that is a good reason. Would i go back to it if i won the lottery. Good question. I know we could have had so much more, eg. Holidays, saving for a house and moneyin the bank. Instead we have nothing with only ourselves to blame.
I know its not too late. Its okay to be frugal. Im goning to change my life.
I will keep you posted.

Keys to quitting marijuana -
1. EAT HEALTHY - It maybe hard at first to choke down food even if it isn't agreeing with you and eat at regular intervals. It does not last long the desire to not eat once you force yourself over that hump.

2. Exercise - For me it was and is Hot Yoga, to sweat the toxins out.

3. drink lots of electrolytes and sauna.once again sweat!. Drop caffien for awhile so you aren't wired at night. Did I say drink water?!
this is key!

4. Stay busy keep your mind occupied. Anxious feelings will come and go through out detox, everyday gets better :)

5. Do not smoke, its obvious if you smoke, you will have to start the whole process over
:( if you are truly serious about quitting.

For me it was a state of mind, I wanted to quit , I was tired of non clarity you just have to find your reason once you do, power is taken back and you arw back in the drivers seat.

Love yourself - Peace brothers and sisters.

I’ve quit smoking after smoking heavily for about a year and a half. Reason for quitting was it was making me live an unhealthy lifestyle, as well as being unmotivated and lazy. The first week after quitting I had close to no sleep, with cold sweats, loss of appetite and severe mood swings. I’m on day 10 now and my appetite and sleeping has returned back close to normal, I’m still sweating more than I should be but I feel like everyday I’m feeling slightly better.
I’m looking forward to see how I’m feeling after 2 weeks with no weed, and for everybody who’s struggling with weed you need to believe you can do it and stay strong, distance yourself from the people that influence you to smoke, and spend more time with those who will support you to cut the habit.

That’s over the top sweating marijuana shouldn’t make you sweat that exaggerated. Your body is flushing out toxins from the foods you eat

Hi - I’m detoxing after four years of chronic use, especially EDIBLES. I live in Colorado so the range, quality and potency of edibles is unbelievably wide, but I abused it: in the last six months, I was regularly taking 300-400mg THC per night, without issue. That’s how tolerant I had become. I stopped cold turkey on 3/15/18 (that’s a whole other story of horror and discomfort), and just over two weeks later I’m still sweating through 4 -5 sets of night clothes every evening. The Thc from edibles stores in the fat so it’s going to take s long time for me. I hear to expect one week of recovery for every month of usage (ballpark). Getting stronger every day though.
Good luck with your recovery.

I figured I'd share my experience, seeing as there are so many similarities to what others have posted. I've been smoking for about a year now, gradually increased my daily intake over time, up to about 1/2 oz in 2 weeks most recently. Since I was starting to have trouble actually getting buzzed, I figured I'd take a week off to help bring my tolerance back down. So Sunday I quit cold turkey, and here's how it's been so far:

Day 1: Felt fine, just clearer.
Day 2: Night sweats and had some trouble sleeping, no appetite, bit of anxiety.
Day 3: Hands/feet constantly sweaty, still trouble sleeping and no appetite, now anxiety and irritability
Day 4: Pretty much no change from Day 3
Day 5: Today. No improvement, only more anxiety/irritability, some depression. Lack of focus.

Fortunately only had one bout of night sweats, but the worst parts are the constantly sweaty hands and feet. Makes typing on a keyboard or using a smart phone a real pain in the ass. Only upside is I've lost like 5-10 lbs because of not eating as much or often, but it's not a diet I'd recommend to anyone. I can't focus on work or anything, constantly bored and stressed. And it only stresses me out more, which makes it worse. It's a vicious cycle. I feel like I'm on edge, about to snap. Everything pisses me off and I feel like lashing out..

But it is comforting to know others have had the same symptoms and that it'll pass. Gonna try to get more exercise and drink more water. I just want this to end.
