This makes so much sense. I've been wondering why I've been having such horrible cold night sweats after quitting weed. Read lots of stuff about how it's your bodies way of releasing toxins (THC), but after more research I found that sweating does not actually release significant toxins from the body. What does make sense is the fact that THC gets stored in fat, and my body is just trying to access that THC.

To all suffering the withdrawals - CBD +CBG vape. That sh*t kills the anxiety, the insomnia and the depression. Sweats are still very much prevalent but as others have said, exercise helps as does a hot bath.
If you're stopping temporarily and not quitting, as i frequently do for tolerance or personal reasons, CBD cycling is a very useful way to "come off" the devils lettuce with relative ease.

Personally i smoke daily from 6am until 11pm between 1/4 and a 1/2oz a week. But CBD cycling lets me take a break for a week or two, get my tolerance back down and come back to Mary with a fresh love.
Just get yourself a standard vape kit from amazon, look up cannavape's products and thank me later.
Vaping is proven the fastest and most efficient way to get it into your system however if you are of the anti-vape inclination CBD also comes in tinctures, pill form and actual herb leaf you can smoke or drink in tea.

If you're experiencing the fabled brain fog during withdrawal, L-theanine and caffeine together can help if you really need to say, study or concentrate at work.

But yeah as others have also said; if you want to manage the addiction, treat it like a treat. Learn to earn the burn.

Been smoking weed on and off for 25 years and every time I quit for a while (quitting full time has never been the aim, I just like to take a break for a couple of months every now and again) I tend to get crazy night sweats during the first fortnight to a month. I'm only a week in and it's driving me crazy this time round. Woke up drenched this morning, as in having to change the bed sheets drenched. The other night I woke up around 3am and had to take a shower which of course meant sleep was done for the night and I was absolutely wrecked during the day as a result (also had to take another shower before going to work).

I think I might just call it quits for good this time, I just can't be doing with this c**p every time I take some time out.

Super old thread, I know... but I just quit smoking 2 days ago and the sweating really hits me hard at night while I sleep. Usually have to wake up and shower midway through the night

Super old, but very helpful for many I'm sure :)

I've been smoking for 25 years. I'm 40 now, I keep quite fit as an amateur fighter (so normally low body fat). I switched to dry-herb vaping around 4 years ago. I vape all day, every day, around every hour or so, even at work. Still, I only go through a half ounce a week to myself.

I've ceased many times for work, for fights, for budget, or just to reset my tolerance. I normally cease for around 2 months of the year, broken up into 2 separate breaks. I break until I pass a self-administored urine test (which takes me 4-5 weeks) It's never fun. It takes a lot of will power and you guys should feel proud if you make it, and don't be discouraged if you don't, it's not easy. Just try and try again.

Sweats, cold extremities, crazy dreams, poor sleep, irritability, loss of appetite/nausea, lack of concentration, headaches (in the cerebellum), and depression are all usual side-effects for me. I even get shrunken testicles and loss of sex drive for a few weeks. I also get a few digestive issues as well; indigestion and loose stools. Most of these disappear in 2 weeks. Interestingly I find the lower my body fat percentage, the more servere the symptoms, but the faster they pass. I assume this has something to do with THC being stored in fat cells.

I'm currently on the 11th day of my first detox of 2020. Still have at least 3 weeks to go, but I'm past the worst of the side-effects. Good food, water and exercise are you friends.

Stay stong everyone and best of luck!

For anyone looking for a more recent experience.. I had it ALL. Let me tell you.. cold sweats, couldn’t eat a damn thing, sweating from my hand and feet for two weeks, night sweats, tummy issues. Things I did to help: 2 ginger root pills a day for the nausea, boost protein shakes, Tylenol/Advil, Benadryl at night to help me sleep. After the physical withdrawal your mind really goes for it.. and if you’re not used to talking yourself down get really used to it.. nothing crazy like suicidal thoughts, just what ever is troubling you most will literally be at the forefront of your mind and it’s really hard to get out of that negative mind set. BUT you can do it! It does get better! You just gotta cry that b***h out!!

Wow! I am so glad to find this thread! I vaped marijuana every day for years but it seemed to be making me anxious. So, I quit 2 weeks ago and I'm going nuts. Armpits and palms are sweating, severe irritability with just about everything pissing me off, can't sleep. In short, I'm miserable. But, I'm going to keep abstaining because I would definitely not want to have to go through this withdrawal again.
