My boyfriend and I just bought new condoms containing spermicide. First of all, they smell horrible! But, the day after we used them, I was sore.. We did have sex again anyway, and I was burning like crazy! I quickly showered and tried to get it all out of me. The next morning I woke up with a yeast infection and tiny red bumps scattered on my genital area, my boyfriend had the same bumps on his, as well as his stomach... Pretty much where the condom had touched us. Its been 2 days and everything is fading... but, is it normal for both of to have this reaction? I should also mention, we've sworn off these condoms and switched back to our original trusty brand. Also, I have had one partner a year before I was with my boyfriend and I was my boyfriends first.
My husband and I just experienced the same thing. Both of us are monogamous and so I couldn't figure out why this was happening. Could this be a bad batch of condoms, or just an allergic reaction?

myself and my boyfriend recently had sex using Durex Extra Safe condoms, and I recently discovered that they contain spermicide. my yest infection came back pretty much the next day, and he has experienced a white spotty rash, and like saramarie1, it was anywhere the condom had touched us. they're bad news i tell you!

My Girlfriend and I have had something similar. It seems to be a rash around the head of my penis, closer to the opening. We were using trojan brand condoms, and I had just showered a few hours ago with Zest body wash. I think my reaction was due to the two chemicals combined, But We've sworn off sex for the night and will examine the problem area in the morning.

Heads up to you young bucks out there, Watch out for that spermicide out there. You might get an alergic reation.

don't use spermicidal condoms. there is a reason that they're not used that commonly any more. they are likely to cause irritation, and have been shown to increase the chance of STIs and UTIs. they have also been shown to be little to no better than non-spermicidal condoms.

The same exact thing is happening to me right now, how long did your rash last for. I used spermicide condoms and a blue zest bar soap and have had the same reaction for 2 and a half months now.

it sounds like it can be an allergic reaction to latex or the spermicidal that is in it...
