I have experienced very similar symptoms but unfortunately for me i suffered from them without even taking antibiotics.. After numerous trips to the dr and gyno I was the one to diagnose myself ... I've realized that the reason why I was experiencing such itchiness, redness, soreness, discomfort and the occasional skin peeling was from eating anything that contained yeast. I tried this out for 1 month and I had the best month I've had in many years.. I seen a gastroentologist a few weeks ago and i found out that im sucrose intolerant so although it's hard finding food without sugar and yeast I haven't felt so comfortable in so long its all worth it. Yesterday I decided to make sure it was yeast and ate a bun...Today I am in extreme discomfort and need to use cream. I know now what it is caused from for sure and will definitely stay away from it. For anyone that is in the dark and in discomfort I send my condolences because i do know the feeling, although everyone is different I strongly recommend you check if it is food that is the cause because so long as you are eating the cause, nor pills or creams will do much help.

I have also had problems withe the skin flaking and dry around the anus. I have been on antibiotics for bronchitis and had a yeast infection. I took monistat 1 and that is what caused a severe chemical burn. I was given triamcinolon. It worked wonders. Everything is better except the dry skin around the anus. I've been using aquaphor at night to try to help.

I am a midwife an I think I know what the problem is. Remember that the vagina has many different organisms--some helpful, some harmful. When you take antibiotics, they also wipe out your helpful bacteria. So if you had any group beta streptococcus (GBS) which 20% of women have, or some staphylococcus colonies living near the vagina, they are now free to multiply like crazy because there I no longer the "good bacteria" keeping them in check. So why didn't the first round of antibiotics wipe these bacteria out as well? Because these bacteria have most likey grown resistant to the antibiotics. What you need to do is ask your GYN to run a skin culture test checking for GBS an staph.

I have been suffering from this off and on for a couple of years, worse in the summer months. I was already diagnosed with skin allergy to my own bodily fluids, my OBGYN and primary care doctor both assumed it was creating re-occurring yeast infections. while the creams helped a bit, it never fully went away unless i did a home remedy of a sea breeze or boric acid wipe down (not recommended, very painful). After taking anti-biotics that i know I'm mildly allergic to but which are the best solution for a triple ear infection with mastoiditis, it flared up worse than I've ever had it before. I have sclerosis of the scalp as well, which flared up with this. So the suggestion that I have LS makes sense. I treat my scalp with Aloe with Menthol and lidocane (you can buy this in a bottle in any pharmacy or chemist during the summer months). I stock up like mad during the summer. I keep my scalp in check with Avacado, keeps down the normal flare ups caused by my sweating. So tonight after reading that my symptoms could be LS i tried the aloe on the affected areas (from the lips just in front of the labia all the way past my anus, and surrounding areas such as the hip joint there.) Immediately i had a reduction in swelling, pain, and itching. I'll let you guys know what affect my avocado mix has on it for reducing flare-ups. The mix also makes a great hair and face treatment/conditioner. If anyone wants to experiment with this one for the vaginal area with me, let me know.  The recipe: 1 avocado, extra ripe; and roughly 4 oz of coconut milk. cube up the avocado and put in blender, pulse while adding coconut milk a little at a time, consistency should be like a face mask or extra thick conditioner (just keep adding coconut milk until this is reached). How i use it on my hair, face, and arms is I wash the areas with mild soap then apply it, and let it sit for 40 minutes before rinsing with cold water. Please feel free to email me if you try this for the flare ups, I know it works on my scalp and other areas i have sclerosis (arms, face, etc). I'd like to get a more wide spread result record for it for the vaginal region though. Like I said, once this flare up is reduced some, I'll be trying this in that area as well. It certainly can't hurt, and worse comes to worse i will just feel softer and smell extra pretty... LOL.

I realized just now because I'd been talking to someone with LS that LS got stuck in my brain (due to sleep deprivation from the issues). what i actually MEANT to say in that post was that i have something called Inverse Psoriasis. Which occurs anywhere where skin touches. (anus, gluteal folds, genitalia, under breasts, armpits, etc) here's a link to the information http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/psoriasis/ds00193/dsection=symptoms You can see from the picture, this looks a lot like what you guys also described (i know i also get blister like things in the affected areas) from the information I've found on it, it is caused by sweat, or by a sudden drop in immune system (such as occurs when you're on anti-biotic) I also have Scalp Psoriasis.

To those interested: thus far i have had great success in taming it with the Aloe with Mentol and Lidocaine. it stings for a few seconds but then absolute relief. I'll be starting the Avocado treatment tomorrow.

I've had all the same symptoms for about a month now, but a couple months ago I left my razor in my shower for the night & in the morining I shaved, EVERYWHERE & I got a "Worm" on my armpit, I discovered I had a bump on my vagina too but thought it was only a razor bump.. Now I've had a bumpy, flakey rash that sometime bleeds around my vagina.. I'm not sure what it is & I'm really nervous to go to the doctors to see what it is.. I NEED answers!

Get it checked out, if it turns out to be Inverse Psoriasis, then take an avocado (extra ripe) cut it up, put it in a blender. Add in coconut milk while pulsing the blender until it is the texture of a thick masq. Wash area with mild soap, dab dry and apply the avocado masq. Let sit for 40 minutes and rinse with cold water. It cleared mine up in 24 hours.

I was just recently diagnosed with herpes 1 which is the type like a cold sore...and yes i thought i had a reoccuring yeast infection that would not go away.....if you have little cuts on the skin around your vagina and can see little dabs of blood on the paper after you wipe i would go get tested (you can not determin herpes unless there is an open sore...if there is not an outbreak you need a blood test to determmin this) ......yest infections are very common after taking antibiotics because they kill the good bacteria.....if you cant go to your doctor soon enough go to planned parenthood they can see you that day!! you may have to wait but seriously yeast infections and symptoms from herpes is not fun so the wait is worth it.......they gave me acyclovir a perscription to help with outbreaks and the spread of herpes .....so ladies its better to know and def better to have it chcked out and helped....go to planned parenthood!!!!

Get tested for herpes 2 antibodies. It's a blood test. I had burning and and a red rash and I found out that I was positive for herpes 2 and that burning was actually an outbreak. I didn't have any sores, just the rash.

As all of you I have the same rawness, I was diagnosed about a year ago with Oral Lichen Planus, and all that is was I had raw alzers on my tongue where I couldn't eat fresh fruit and vegtables or it would get worse and hurt so bad that I couldn't eat or drink anything.  I had really bad yeast infections when I was younger so I thought that I was having another until nothing was working and the PA segested that I had Lichen Planus there too, until I did research and found out that it was called Lichen Sclerosus down there.  Since I can't afford to go to the doctor I have decided to try home remedies like some of you, I am getting ready to try Colloidal Silver, Tea Tree Oil, mixed in an aloe base.  Praying it works although I am not sure how it will feel on the raw skin.  I have taken no antibiotics, and I have no STD I have been married to the same man for almost 27 years.  I have found relief last year with Clobetasol and also with the Triamcinolone but I can't get any refils on those.  I know rinsing with Colloidal Silver in my mouth helped with the alzers, hoping this mixer works too!

Have them test you for Lichen Sclerosis. It sounds a lot like the symptoms I had.
