April 29, fri I had a tetanus and pertussis shot for whooping cough. I have a golf ball size red fevered and swollen spot at the shot site.

Contact your health care provider. You are likely having a reaction to the shot. It is a common side effect.

I did put in a call. They had me leave a voice message. What do they do for a side effect for a shot? I am off work today due to heavy lifting but will go back tomorrow and hope I can lift and do my job ok. Thanks
There is unlikely they can do much. They could suggest something for the swelling depending upon the severity. I'd suggest a cold compress for now.
