My doctors have told me that my spinal fusion and then eight months later the rods were removed, has nothing to do with the diaphragm because my initial surgery was done two years before my paralyzed diaphragm was diagnosed. I’m told they don’t know what caused it, probably a virus. Can this be true, that the paralyzed diaphragm would have been diagnosed right away after my surgery ?
