I have been dealing with MS for more than a decade. First symptom I have experienced was numbness in hands. This was followed shortly with vision problems (eyesight never fully recovered since then) and leg problems (walking was sometimes difficult, even standing was hard to perform form time to time). I had several remissions since then, each with slightly different problems. I have been taking prednisolone pills, but I have heard that Sativex could be good for MS. Is it true?
Sativex is actually a mouth spray made in UK. It is used to deal with pain and spasticity in MS patients. The main difference between it and similar drugs is that it is made form botanical material, and not in some synthetic process. Its main components are cannabinoids, (tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabidiol). Actually, this is the first medication derived from cannabis plant that had been approved for wide use. It is said that it is very effective but the results have yet to prove that statement.
