I started shooting heroin and I have pins and screws in my ankle and now my ankle is swollen very painful and full of puss. I'm afraid to go to the hospital or doctors because of my addiction and the results. I know about bacteria and poison getting into the bloodstream and still I cant find myself to go and get help. I'm ready to get clean (drug-free). I haven't sleep in days I just keep smokin crack and shooting heroin (skin-pop) also. I just want this to be all over with, shooting heroin was the worst I could have ever tried or done, I fell in love with the feeling and now my veins are damaged .
If this is the condition you are afraid you may have it is certainly nothing to wait around for. I know you are afraid but this is a very serious matter. Not going to get help for it will only end you in the hospital or worse. Nothing is worth risking your life for. If you are that afraid to go to the hospital then go to your doctor. Many people have gone to their doctor to get help with getting off drugs. I know that quitting drugs is a fight of its own, I was an IV drug user over 22 years ago, got clean and never went back since. It can be done but you have to do it now. Please go get checked because the situation you are describing needs attention. It may or may not be linked to your drug use but if it's full of puss, it needs medical attention. Good luck to you.
