I have just started having sex and I have to admit that it hurt. I am a 22 year old male and my penis was so sensitive that I had to take it out because it hurt and it started to bleed. I don’t think this is normal. Should I see a doc? It’s been three days since it happened and the bleeding stopped. My girlfriend was also worried. She freaked when she saw blood on my penis. When I was masturbating I had discomfort only if I would try to pull my foreskin harder. If I didn’t pull it hard, everything would be ok. Any ideas on what to do? Thx

Hi! Yes, you need to see a doctor. You may be suffering from either frenulum breve or phimosis. I think you should have it checked because if you don’t get them treated you may have to have circumcision. Frenulum breve is a condition when your frenulum is too short that it doesn’t allow your foreskin to be pulled all the way. Frenulum is that piece of skin that connected foreskin to the head. Phimosis is when your foreskin is attached to your glans and can’t be retracted. Both of these disorders can be treated without circumcision nowadays but the sooner you realize what it is, the better.
