Wow. Same exact thing here. I have diverticulitus, and NASH, and gallbladder came out a year ago. This pain is never ending. I worry about the why. I am 42, the caretaker if my severely disabled husband, and mom to 4 from 20 down to 7. Nothing can slow me down, but it is. :(

I have the same exact problem but my ct scan only show a small tumor growth on kidney, but the doctors say that's not the cause, I have a appointment with a kidney specialist in a couple weeks but I assume that's a waste of money as doctors visits usually are. Any results from your visits, I know my husband is as sick of me being sick as I am, even though he his great, I hate going back to the doctor to waste my time and money, besides it easier to just lay here in pain.

Sorry I saw that this was over a year ago but I have been having the same pain almost under my right rib, it is constant and I have also been baby puking like 15-30 minutes after I eat. Last year this started happening I had a CT scan with the dye, Hyda Scan and a X-Ray of my abdomen and just the week the pain has come back, We are now looking in to getting me a specialist.. I am only 15 years old and has this for over a year now, praying the doctors can figure out what is wrong! I thought I was the only one going through this pain!!

I, too, am suffering from this.  However, mine began about 6 weeks ago when something exploded in my belly.  My liver enzymes were elevated, and ultrasound showed gall stones.  So my gall bladder was removed, but the pain didn't stop.  It's been four weeks since surgery.  It feels like someone is stabbing me it's a large knife on my right gut, just below the rib cage.  It radiates around the right side to my back.  The intensity fluctuates but it is always there.  And sometimes it feels like there are boiling razor blades all over my gut.  Been to the ER a few times but nothing has been found.  Also, the pain killers I've been given, both in the ER and by prescription have had no effect on it.  This is suicidal pain!  Has anyone found a cause yet?

Do you have heart burn at all. I to have had this pain which actually made it difficult to lie on my right side, I also had a dull pain in my back. I seem to be suffering from acid reflux but I had no other symptoms to start off with although I did have a slight cough and very slight sore throat occasionally. I have been treating myself with DGL and Mastika along with making sure I eat alkaline food and not acid food. If I can be of any further help let me know and I will send my email. My pain has virtually gone

I had a vague feeling in my upper right quadrant area for several months only to have it heighten one day so that I ended up in the ER. I was told Cat Scan was normal; however, I was to be admitted due to low white blood count. After nothing being diagnosed I was sent home. I ended up back at the GI doctors office and he stated an ERCP would make me feel so much better; I believe he suspected Sphincter of Oddi however there was no confirmation but a little sludge from gall bladder removal tears ago. The doctor got dye in my pancreas and I ended up with sever Pancreatitis. I also ended up with intra-abdominal abscesses filled with Strep and Staph infections. It ended up being a psydo cyst below my Pancreas. Sick as a dog, losing 25 lbs and a lot of pain. After suffering all this from the ERCP I still have the initial upper right Quadrant pain undiagnosed. I feel like I am being blowed away as well because the doctor stated it was from all the trauma I recently was under. No, same pain that was there before any of this happened. I too was diagnosed with a small Hiatal Hernia. I am at wits end. My pain increases with activity or hiccups, or coughs and such. I feel like I am losing my mind. I am tired of suffering.

Wow, finally someone else who is experiencing the same thing..I have had this issue for about 5 years now, had my gallbladder removed and the pain still exists. Mine will come and go. It will hang around for 6 to 8 months, and mysteriously disappear. It is back now with a vengeance. It had been gone for over a year, and returned. I just sat and cried. My doctor put me on Lyrica, which is very expensive and hasn't helped. I feel for anyone going through this. I am praying for a miracle. Good luck to you both and God bless. .

Sounds like chronic pancreatitis. Have your serum amylase and lipase checked.

I had the exact same pain. Please have the cyst on your liver biopsied. I have 2 cyst one is adenoma and the other is focal nodular hyperplasia. In 99% of people they do not cause pain, but I've fallen into that1% and the pain was unbearable. Unfortunately the operation to remove either of them is risky and they are mot affecting my liver function so I take 20 MG of methadone per day. I mean w/o the pills the pain is excruciating. I initially spent a week in the hospital where they ran every test imaginable. I am perfectly healthy except for the pain. So although they cannot explain why the cyst are causing the pain the fact that they are there is the only explanation for the pain. The pain never ever goes away except with the pills which makes the pain tolerable...takes it down to a 3-4 out of 10. Occasionally I need to go to the E.R. for a shot of morphine, but for the most part the methadone works fine. I pray this information helps you in some way. Please write back with any questions.

Look up Pancreatic Cancer, Pancreatitis. Its your Pancreas. The ONLY way to diagnose is through an internal ultrasound.

Very similar story here. My gallbladder was removed postpartum 2002. I had a severe car accident in 2003 when pregnant with 2nd child. Started experiencing my ruq pain in 2004. Had an EGD discovered GERD without evidence of celiac. Managed the pain/discomfort until ~3yrs ago. Doctors are blowing it off as scar tissue and GERD. The longer it takes to find the root cause, the more I feel the rest of my health is failing. I just feel bad ALL THE TIME and need some answers.

I have had this same upper right quadrant pain for over 2 years which has been getting worse. I recently purchased a massage chair for my back and amazingly this helps my right sided pain if I sit in the chair for 35-40 minutes. Also ice packs help. I also use Hemp cream with arnica , aloe , MSM , turmeric and other ingredients. Warning do not use this on sensitive areas such as , under arms , genitals etc. helps me , hope it helps you. Gd Bless !
