My 16yr old daughter has experienced sharp pains in her head...they come just randomly....she could be just sitting there and all of the sudden she grabs her head and starts crying...this is really scares me. she went down to my cellar to get some laundry out of the washer and came up crying and holding her head......this is the second time this has happened. the first time we were just sitting in my car and she started crying and holding her head.....I keep watching her and I did give her some sinus medication but I am not sure if that is what it is....They seem to be contained to the left side

I'm trying to understand what is happening. I'm a 63 year old male that suffers from almost constant headaches. They have found the reason for three different sources and a fourth one is undetermined. Once or twice a week, I get a railroad spike driven into the side of my head. I passed out from the last one but they never last more than five seconds and then back to normal. I have had a few MRI's and they found some things but nothing that would explain why these "Burst" headaches should happen.

These things are random and I am sometimes afraid they might happen while I'm driving. They give me no warning and, like I said, very painful.
