Has anyone had the experience of going from a 5-day period to a 2-day one, after a leep cone biopsy of the cervix? If so, do you still have a short period, three months later, like me? I had the surgery done last November and now it's late February. Right after the surgery, I bled for 3 weeks (because I also got my period) and then one month later, my period was only 2 days long, instead of 5. I was told by a doctor that it was most certainly temporary, just a result of the trauma to my body, but now it's been the third period I got that was just 2 days long. It's been almost 4 months since the surgery, and I am not seeing any sign of my period becoming what it used to be before the surgery. My gyn. says it could be permanent. Does anyone know anything about all of that? Thanks!
i had a biopsy done on my cervix and i bled afterwards for not even a day and my peroid had no changes at that time it was normal... so i think if i was you i would be asking my doctor who did my surgery or i would go to my gyno and demand an answer
I had a leep procedure done in September 07 and my first period was heavy and early and my second one was normal and since then my periods have also only been 2 days long. According to everything I have read 2-7 days is normal, I suppose It just does not seem to be when your used to 4-5 days. The doctor says not to worry though.
Im having the leep cone biopsy done on july 11th and im not as scared of the surgery, but i am of not being able to have children.i just had a miscarriage about 5 months ago and hense how i found out about havng hpv and now pre-cancerous cells...im hoping to get pregnant very soon after the surgery and hopefully everything will go smoothly...but i will let everyone know my results for healing and menstration in a month...Wish me luck because god knows i really need it!!
i had the leep done in april, my period after that was normal but the last two have wierd hardly anything...seriously i'm not joking my gyne wont see me til sept and cant get hold of my gp...this cant be normal. usually i'm on for 6 days 4 heavy two light
I had my biopsy 20 days ago.. I just got my first period, it is heavy and extremely painful. Pain killers don't help at all. I am scared to take too much painkiller! All I feel is pain. It is really disappointing what doctors miss telling us about post procedure symptoms.
