I am a 42 year old woman. I have cough up blood while brushing my teeth on occassions I thought it was coming from my gums but after doing this a few times I noticed that it was not coming from my gums at all. The first time it was dark red the last few times it has been bright red. I do not experience this often as I have said but I have a few times in the last six months. Should I be concern or is it something that will pass.

Go an see your doctor.
I bleed more when my period is due. The dentist says its common. I have to keep on top of my dental hygiene.
