There has been (1) reported case of whooping cough in our school district where I substitute, and I have been offered free shots of DPT (or something like TDPT), but I have seen a list of really bad side effects, and I am wondering if I should take the shot or take my chances. I am a 65 year old female in good health, but I don't want to take the chance of developing any problems now. I do have an allergy to eggs. Please advise. Thank you, Gloria Blair
