I recently stopped taking the birth control for 15 years. My first two periods were fine. But my 3rd and 4th have not been good at all. I am quite emotional and depressed (which I've never experience ever before.

Is this due to my harmones changing? Should I expect my body to need to time to adjust? Or should I be looking into medical treatment to help with the terrible mood swings I have when I get my period.

I was hoping to concieve soon, but not feel emotional ready now with what I've been experiencing.

When i came off the pill a long time ago, i dont remember any side affects. But everyone is different an it depends on the pill your taking an your age. I was only on it for about 5 years at that time tho. 15years is a long time.
As you get older your body changes, especially your hormones.
Being on the pill you wont have noticed this as it keeps you regular.
Im guessing you are about 30/35yrs old. Going on you being on it 15yrs.
Im 40 an over the last 5 years my hormones have been up the shoot.
So you could think about weather you are changing cos of your age.
I think also you need to give your body time to adjust to not being on the pill.
I had a D&C last Monday an the Mirena coil put in. The consultant told me it will take up to 6month for my body to get use to it.
May be 6 months is a good time to see.
Good look with trying to get pregnant. Hope it happens soon for you. (trying fun tho) XD
