ok i am a longtime smoker(i know i need to quit) but a few weeks ago i thought flehm was sticking in the top of my throat. and now i have a cold and noticed that i have a few little lumps on the very back of my tongue. the problem is i can feel them in the back of my throat and once in a great while they seem to bug my gag reflex. they dont hurt or anything like that but they are bugging the heck out of me... i have no INS so i would like to know if there might be something i can do without haveing to rack up bills at a doctor....

Look, although these bumps could be harmless and may be just swollen taste buds, I would have it checked-with or without an insurance because more than often bumps could be cancer related or they could be some pre-cancerous growths.
For example, leukoplakia is a pre-cancerous condition that includes having white spots on the mucous membranes of the tongue and inside of the mouth. It is more common in people who smoke and chew tobacco. There are people with the disease who don’t develop cancer when suffering from leukoplakia.
It is not necessary that you have this condition; I was just making a point that you should have it checked. Other bumps could be potentially cancerous as well.
