So I've read a TON of posts on this issue, but almost everybody else who posted were chronic tobacco users or long term marijuana smokers. I smoked for a year, off and on. I used blunts for about 4 months and for the last 4 months of smoking, I strictly used a pipe. I quit almost exactly 3 weeks ago and about once or twice a day I cough up black c**p in my phlegm. I know what the black stuff is and why I'm coughing it up.
My question is this: given that I only smoked for a total of about 8 months and given that I only smoked blunts for about half that time and given that I smoked an average of 5 grams a week, what would y'all who are informed about this stuff tell me?

I'm afraid I don't understand your question. What would like us to tell you? You said you know what the black stuff is.
Yes, your lungs are trying to clean themselves up. This is a good thing! The coughing will diminish as the lungs clear.
