You have to create a problem not solve a problem pot dont affect the baby because all of us have cannibis receptors in our brains evn our baby. And if hes gona laugh n ppl faces well thats probably the way his mother raised him or what hes seen so dont go blamin marijuana. Its everything else like cigs and alcohol for dangers. A women that has done nothing can have a slow child or one with adhd or add me for example and my brothers slow my mom never did nothing. Its a plant you believe in god!? I dont know wat state you live in but im in illinois and i smoked all 9 months with 2 pregnancies becuz of nausea. I had it bad.My son was not tested becuz they had no reason to. My daughter was tested but only becuz of a prior incident during my second trimester where i was tested positive for thc. She was a little jittery when she was born which gave them more reason to test her. She was positive of course and they did make a CPS call before i could take her home. It prolonged our stay in the hospital which was terrifying for me waiting for a response. I was discharged after being told a caseworker would come to my house for a surprise visit and inspection. That did happen a month later but all the lady did was ask some questions about the babys development which were all normal. And that was the last i heard of cps. 3 yrs later im pregnant now with my third and still smoking at 6 months although i am weaning off this week. Im want to go in clean when i deliver just in case. Its bad enough were risking our childs health, i dont want my babies taken from me just cuz i smoke. I also work and provide 10 times better for my kids than my parents ever did me and im only 26. just do everything possible to keep ur discretion. Good luck!!

Wow. For you to blame anything on smoking pot or saying someobe is doing it to "get high" is so screwed up. Im currently 7 months pregnant and on day 5 without smoking and honestly feel like its worse than NOT smoking. i have extreme headaches, morning sickness and get upset/aggravated over the simplest of things. I dont think me stressing over making dinner or feeling suicidal and ininportant in loved ones lives is good for the baby all because i quit smoking. So maybe you should keep your BS thoughts to yourself. This was supposed to be a forum asking for HELP not being bashed because you THINK smoking weed is selfish when in all acutuality it could save the life of a baby AND the mother.

I think we shouldnt be so quick to judge. If it helps women with morning sickness personally i see marijuana being a better remedy then any other prescribed drug. At least its natural. I read somewhere that there was this prescribed drug to help ease morning sickness that actually gave babies birth defects!

How about you do some research honey and you'd see no women who ONLY smoked weed while pregnant has ever had any birth defects linked to the weed. That's right. No proof at all of mothers who smoked having issues. Most women smoke weed and do other drugs and that's different. You have no place to tell someone that they need to worry about their baby when you have no clue what your even talking about.

Funny thing..I'm 24 and doctor told me to smoke Marijuana. 2 grams a day no harm done to baby. It's other drugs that aren't grown from ground up and pills that do the harm so your 18 year old brain should expand and not put other mothers down. Some of us suffer health issues.
